🎉 WOW… 46 KIDS ON OUR FIRST JUNIOR NIGHT! 🎉

Well, you certainly showed us there was an appetite for this!

A massive THANK YOU to the 46 children and young people who joined us for the very first Junior Night at Markland Hill Racquets Club on Friday — and to all the parents, carers and families who supported us too.

For a brand-new night, we were absolutely delighted with the turnout. 💚

Junior Night is about creating a safe, fun and affordable place for local children and young people to spend a Friday evening — playing sport, meeting people, making friends and being active.

We’re already looking at what worked, what we can improve and how we can develop the activities on offer as the weeks go on.

Expect more opportunities for:
🏓 Table tennis
⚽ Football
🎾 Tennis
🎯 Games, challenges and competitions
🍕 Food, refreshments and the all-important tuck shop!

And we’ve got some special nights planned too, including our Halloween Party & Games Night on 30 October and Christmas Party Night on 11 December.

To everyone who came to our first one: thank you for making it such a brilliant start.

Junior Night | Fridays | 7pm–9pm | £5 per child

Play. Meet. Make friends. Be part of it.

🎾 NEW: JUNIOR NIGHT AT MARKLAND HILL! ⚽🏀🏓
We’re relaunching something exciting for local children and young people this October — Friday Junior Night!
Starting THIS FRIDAY, 7pm–9pm, we’re opening the club for two hours of sport, games, food, friends and Friday night fun.
And it’s definitely more than tennis!
🏓 Table tennis
🏏 Cricket
⚽ Football
🏑 Hockey
🏀 Basketball
🎾 Tennis
…and plenty more games and activities.
£5 entry per child and there’s pizza, fries and a tuck shop available at a small extra cost.
Children under 12 are very welcome but must have a parent or responsible adult remain on site. Young people aged 12+ can attend without a parent.
All children will sign in on arrival and provide an emergency contact number, and all staff working at the sessions are DBS checked.
Our first night is:
📅 THIS Friday 2nd October
⏰ 7pm–9pm
📍 Markland Hill Racquets Club, Markland Hill Lane, Bolton BL1 5AN
Then we’re back throughout October, November and December — including a Halloween Party & Games Night on 30th October and a Christmas Party Night on 11th December.
No need to be a brilliant tennis player. In fact, you don’t need to play tennis at all.
This is about giving local children and young people somewhere safe, active and sociable to spend a Friday evening — to play, meet people, make friends and be part of the club.
Please share this with local parents, schools and families and help us make our first Junior Night a busy one!
£5. Two hours. Loads to do. Friday nights sorted.
