Turton Choi Kwang Do - Martial Arts School

Congratulations 🍾🎈🎉🎊 to the newest Black Belts.

When this photo was taken I was around 7 months pregnant.

When my son was 3 months old, my Instructor Miss Ralph (lady in the middle with the gold sash around the neck line) told me she would be emigrating and closing the school.

I took the bold choice to take over the running of the school. This was December 2017.

Tomorrow will see many amazing students grading for the last time with Turton Choi Kwang Do. Two of which are going for their Black Belts.

I am incredibly honoured to have met so many wonderful people since I joined the school in 2013. I am also truly blessed that 20 students have carried on training till the closing date.

Taking over the school in April 2018 was a blessing and it’s with a heavy heart that I am closing the school tomorrow after the grading.

I wish all my students present and past the best of luck and I hope that they will carry on their martial arts training. I would certainly love to hear all about it.

Sad news.

I have not taken this decision lightly but I will need to close the school.

Classes will be running at a reduced schedule until March 2025.

All students have been sent emails explaining the situation and letter have been handed out in class. Please do speak to me with any questions.

I’m sad to be stopping but it’s not a decision I took lightly.

I look forward to seeing ever in class and we will be working to get all students to the best technical ability between now and March more than we have ever been before to go out on a high for all.

March will also see 4 students grading for Black Belt - Please do come to support them.

Don’t forget the clocks went back last night. ☺️ I did and panicked it had taken me to long to get ready this morning 🤣

A new block of Saturday morning football coaching will be available between 9th November and 14th December!

Classes will be held in the Arts Theatre this evening.

Appologies to all. Due to my son now being very well I will need to cancel classes today.

I will be in on Wednesday as I have child care.

Please note that we will not be accepting new introductions sessions this year.

This is due to one of my team members being off for the next few months, who normally runs the Introductory sessions.
