Summary of Sundays game

An Unbelievable Milestone for Greater Manchester Falcons

The Greater Manchester Falcons marked a historic moment as they played their first Northern Development Game, bringing blind cricket to Bolton. Yorkshire won the toss and elected to field first. Despite an early breakthrough by Yorkshire, outstanding performances from Amin and Toseef—both retiring on 50—and a quickfire 34 off just 10 balls by Bilal powered the Falcons to an impressive total of 223 for 4 in their 20 overs.

After declaring at 20 overs, the Falcons needed to bowl out Yorkshire within 28 overs to secure a win. Yorkshire, however, battled through a tough chase, with Robert Baines anchoring the innings with a gritty 42 off 84 balls, earning his team a hard-fought draw. Yorkshire finished on 128 for 3. The standout bowler for Greater Manchester was Raza Ahmed, who came close to a hat-trick at one point.

Although the match ended in a draw, the Falcons can take pride in their performance. With Yorkshire putting them in to bat, it was always going to be a challenging task—especially against a side known for making it tough to beat when they bat second.
