Jumped on northwest roders match at Umberton on Heatons lake with 30 anglers fishing it .
Drew peg 35 which looks a decent peg but not much form, so decided to just target the carp
Started off fishing 13m 4ft on hard 6mm pellet and caught a few stockies and 2 carp
Then switched to corn over 3mm next to island in about 18” which was steady away
Then tried down track to my left which is shallow for carp and stockies.
Well done Adrian winning the lake 57lb
I weighed in 39lb was enough for 2nd

Great days fishing today, fishing the open on Victoria’s lake
Drew peg 17 that is a peg what never gets put in a match that has on corner but a lot of space to be fair. #
Started off 16m in 5ft of water for 3 carp then with the breeze I couldn’t present my rig right so decided to go on my maggot line at 8m in 6ft
Which was ok for ide and chub .
Started seeing sign of fish near surface so butchered a rig to fish up in water
Catching ide
For 75lb which got me 2nd
Well done ant jones for the win .
And well done Keith on a close battle .
