It's amazing what can happen in the space of a few days.

This week, Charlie was told he wasn't good enough.

Today, with no U20 category at the first British Wrestling Beach Championships in Cleethorpes, he stepped up into the Seniors ………and won gold. 🥇

Funny how “not good enough" can suddenly look very different.

Charlie didn't complain, no excuses.

He did what we’ve always taught our wrestlers at Sharples, turned up, worked hard and let his wrestling do the talking.

To those who doubted him, thank you.

Sometimes rejection creates the biggest motivation.

We're incredibly proud of Charlie.

Congratulations, Champ. The best way to answer critics is on the mat.

Easa Adam recently travelled to São Paulo, Brazil, to compete at the IBJJF Brazilian National Championships (Brasileiros).

Competing at yellow belt, Easa won gold in his category, adding another major title to an already successful year.

Great work by the juniors this evening.
Also another great result for Easa Adam who won the Jui Jiu-Jitsu Mat Masters invitational on the main card in the under 35 kg category in Gravesend last weekend. Easa was well under weight and a year younger than his opponent in the final winning by decision. 🔥
