Another brilliant performance from the Cobras today playing a year up 💪🏼

Going into today’s U11 game with a few of our players missing and no subs we knew it was going to be a tough test and expected the lads to really feel it as the game went on but WOW did they prove us wrong 🔥

An absolutely massive 4-1 win against a strong team in the Forest section 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

The stamina and work rate from every single player was incredible 👏🏼 running non-stop for the full game on a big pitch with no changes available is no easy task but the boys never stopped battling, pressing and supporting each other right until the final whistle 🐍

Credit as well to the opposition keeper who pulled off some fantastic saves throughout the game 🧤👏🏼

John stepped up and played completely out of position in defence today and he was absolutely outstanding. Calm on the ball, strong in every challenge, read the game brilliantly and gave absolutely everything for the team. Fully deserved John boy! 👏🏼

Every single player worked their socks off today 💪🏼 with no subs available, the lads battled for every ball, backed each other up all game and showed incredible team spirit ❤️ celebrating every goal, tackle and every save together 🤝🏼 exactly what football is all about 🙌🏼⚽️

Next season, this group of players will be moving up from U10s to U12s playing against teams a year older in a competitive 9v9 league. There will be headers, offsides, throw-ins and lots of learning and challenges along the way.

Another friendly in the U11 league playing a year up and what a performance from the Cobras! 🐍

All of them were absolutely unbelievable today and weren’t phased one bit by the bigger players on the pitch 💪🏼 they held their own and played some outstanding football 👏🏼

The passing today was great and we scored 3 superb goals 🚀 the opposition manager even came over after the game and said we are the best technical team they have faced this season 🤩 what a compliment that is and it just shows what an amazing team we have! 🐍

We are still adjusting to playing with offsides but the defenders held their line brilliantly today 🛡️ the communication and awareness at the back was outstanding! 🙌🏼

The game finished in a draw but if we’re being honest the Cobras deserved the win after such a brilliant performance. Zach Shelley was very unlucky to not get himself a hattrick!

🏆 Player of the Match went to our captain Charlie Clark - another true captain’s performance today 💪🏼 vocal throughout the game and absolutely solid in defence 🛡️ in a very strong defensive line Charlie held the wall superbly at the back and contributed to several offside decisions with his awareness and leadership. Well done Charlie! 🙌🏼

⭐️ Parents Player of the Match went to Teddy - A typical playmaker style performance today 🔥 worked tirelessly for the team, linked up play brilliantly in the middle and topped it off with a goal and an assist ⚽️ He was everywhere on the pitch today and fully deserved his award!👌🏼

Cup day for our Cobras 🐍

A tough one today that didn’t quite go our way. After a 1-1 draw the game went to penalties following a very unusual decision to disallow what we felt was a good goal. These things happen in football and sometimes it just isn’t your day.

What matters most is how the Cobras played - with maturity, composure and doing things the right way throughout. Even in difficult moments they stuck to their football and showed exactly what this team is about. We couldn’t be prouder of them ❤️

We take the positives, learn from it and move forward. Time now to reset and get fully ready for the step up to 9 a side games 👊🏼

🏆 Parents Player of the Match went to Tiago who was absolutely outstanding today. His pace, skill and energy was incredible and he caused problems all game for the opposition 🔥
