Bransty Rangers U8’s 25/26

Tonight the yellows took on a tough windscales side 🟡🔵⚽️

We ended up playing 7 a side just to get more kids game time as both teams have 7 players each.

And what a great game it was!! A real tough battle, windscales battled really hard and really took the game to us however, the bigger pitch suited us that little bit more. We used the space really well and moved the ball about the way we know we can. 💪🏻⚽️

In the end, we can away with a good victory with a team that went toe to toe with us in a great battle! 👏🙌

Man of the match went to Ronan. Absolutely brilliant battling performance. Ronan is normally our striker but tonight his defensive work was unreal. And when he played in defence his tackles were fantastic. A great performance all round! 👏💪🏻

Weekend off for us, then we go again 💪🏽

Today the lads were down in Bolton to play on the Toughsheet stadium pitch 😍

We entered a tournament down there and got the chance to play on the stadium pitch it’s self. Along with playing there, they all got to run out the tunnel to their name and number being called out like a professional football player!! Memories to last a life time 💛

As always, when you travel to a tournament, you’re up against some good teams, as we were today!! Not once did the lads let their heads drop and we were competitive in most of our games 💪🏻

We got to the semi final and it went to the dreaded penalties! I think we went through penalty takers three times before we hit the post and were defeated. Heartbreak for the kids in a game we dominated.

That’s what tournament football is all about, gotta take your chances.

Results aside, what an experience for the boys in yellow and black. Proud of them and the performances we put in 💛🖤

Maybe didn’t come home with the trophy but the lads have made some great memories as a team ⚽️💛🖤

Last night the yellows took on grassroad sharks u7’s at their Distington ground ⚽️

Grassroad really battled hard to get a few goals but in the end, the Bransty boys showed their firepower to outscore them 💪🏻

Some decent battles all over the pitch and glimpses of what we are capable of 💪🏻⚽️

Man of the match went to Charlie for his fantastic attacking display. Charlie really took the game to his opponents and showed his brilliant footwork to create chances for himself and his team mates. Rounding off his performance with a brilliant top bins finish ⚽️🥅

Well done all involved. Great teamwork shown from all the boys!

We look forward to our tournament this weekend……

Today the yellows went to cockermouth for a little round robin with cockermouth 1st team, Cockermouth 2nd team and st bees ⚽️

Over the last 18 months we have become good friends/ rivals with both of these clubs 💪🏻⚽️

It was good to get all the kids out playing and enjoying the footballing as always!

At the end, all kids got medals and cupcakes to take home! 🏅🧁

A real enjoyable morning.

Player of the day went to Rory. I thought he worked unbelievable today and never stopped. Some of his passing was unreal. He played some incredible through balls. Great effort Rory 💛🖤

Last night the yellows took on a tough workington whites side ⚽️

Everytime we play them, it’s always a close game, which is what you want 💪🏻⚽️

We only had one sub so the lads had to work hard and dig deep, which they did and scraped the win. Pleasing to see them work hard even when tired & not give up battling. 💪🏻💪🏻

Man of the match went to Riley P who was outstanding in nets and played really well when called upon. Making some great saves in the process! 💛🖤

Today the yellows travelled to Middlesbrough for a tournament ⚽️

Three strong group wins and a draw saw us joint top of the group and coming second in goal difference 💪🏻⚽️

We then went Onto the semi finals and played a local team who narrowly beat us by a goal and went onto win the final. We had our chances to win the semi and on another day we’d have taken them, but we fell just short today ⚽️

Great experience for the lads either way. Fantastic weekend of team bonding & doing what the lads love best ⚽️💪🏻

Today the yellows took on silloth, in a lovely away day for the boys ⚽️

Silloth are a tough physical team so we knew what we were up against and we knew we’d need to work hard for a win.

The lads started very brightly and very quickly and got silloth on the back foot from the off. In the end, dominating all quarters 💪🏻⚽️

We played some good football and changed things around to get the kids more experienced in different positions.

All in all, a great day through at silloth for the lads.

This was also a great warm up for the lads who travel to Middlesbrough tomorrow for a tough tournament!!

Opposition Man of the match went to bugsy. Once again spearheading our attack and getting us on the front foot with some great goals and unreal passing ability!

From our coaches point of view, every single player on the pitch was brilliant so very hard to pick one. Possibly Louis just edging it with his determined battling performance, running with the ball and never giving up. Getting a hat trick in the process!!

Last of the banding games for our stripes today Vs Workington Falcons whites before tournaments start.

The stripes got off to a good start, scoring the first goal and some great defensive work in the first 2 quarters kept us on an even keel. Going into the third heads dropped a bit & we conceded a few goals but the boys tried their best to bring it back in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to get any goals past their well drilled keeper. Lots of turning with the ball which is what we’ve been practising in training & some good tackles.

MOM went to Winter as this was his very first game for the stripes after only 2 training sessions, so big well done to him, even went back on after an injury💪🏻

The other MOM went to Noel for having a good go in all positions throughout the field and growing in confidence each game. 👏

Today the yellows took part in their last game of banding. And what a game it was!!

We came up against a tough cockermouth team that are hard to beat, only beaten once in all their games.

Like most of our games. It was end to end, it was quick, and there were lots of goals!! 🥅⚽️

Both teams played some good football and it will have been a great game for a neutral to watch! 💪🏻

Man of the match was bugsy, his constant pressure in chasing down the ball, brilliant passing and hat trick, seals it for him! 👏

A tough banding season now finished, it’s onto tournament football.

On Sunday the stripes played against Cockermouth. Only had 4 players but each one of them gave their all in the game. Thanks to Cockermouth team for lending us a player so the game could go ahead 💪🏻⚽️

It was a good game to watch. They all Showed that they are all individually learning and getting more confident, good to see them running around and the defender (guard) looking to stay in position and then moving in to tackle when required 💪🏻⚽️

Noel for his great effort in goals & some fantastic defending on the pitch. This was Noel’s first game with the team & played brilliant from start to finish 💪🏻

Riley for his superb efforts in all positions he was in. Made some brilliant saves when in goals & showed some fantastic defending then going on to score 2 goals 💪🏻⚽️
