Bransty Rangers U9’s 2026/2027

Today our yellows took on a top team in cockermouth blacks ⚽️

I think we’ll all agree that was a fantastic game to watch. Real end to end stuff. A real physical battle with all kids getting involved and working hard 👏💪🏻

For the most part of the game, we were about equal to them but cockermouth just showed their class in the end and managed to get the better of us.

I can’t fault our lads though, we kept going and kept trying to peg them back.

Well done cockermouth, keep playing like that and not many teams will beat you, credit where credits due. Great little team 👏

Opposition man of the match went to Reuben. I’m running out of things to say for this kid, he was absolutely solid again today. Stopping attack after attack, and playing us out from the back. Unreal again today 👏💪🏻

Coaches man on the match went to Beau! Our keeper made some fantastic saves today and kept the scoreline respectable. You wouldn’t want any other keeper in your goal in a 1v1 situation!! 👏💪🏻

Well done both Beau & Reuben ⚽️🖤

Thank you to our main sponsor A.M Joinery 💛🖤

Today our newly formed stripes played their very first game!!

We’ve only had 2 training sessions together and today they all played in a match for the first time. 👏💪🏻

What a little team we have here with a lot of potential.
It’s always tough when it’s your first game but I thought the kids were fantastic. Some good battling, some great passing and they never stopped running!! What we love to see 👏

Player of the match was Ayda for her hard work and non stop running, great feet and making good decisions! Well done Ayda 🖤💛

Here at Bransty rangers juniors we absolutely believe in all of this 👏

As coach of our yellows these are rules I live by.
The score of the game really doesn’t matter. They are kids as the end of the day, and as long as they are all enjoying themselves, I’m happy with that. For me that’s what it’s all about ⚽️🙂

Let them play, let them have fun & let them enjoy the game.
Let the referee do his job, does it really matter if he gets a decisions wrong? No.

The things I’ve seen over the last few years are mental 🤯

Enjoy the kids playing and don’t take anything to heart. 🖤💛

Visitors to Rickerby will have noticed our new sign reminding players, coaches and spectators that this is grassroots football and any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated by anyone at Stanwix FC.

The sign was produced by Image Signmakers. Excellent service!

Yesterday we took on a tough workington whites side who we always have a great game and battle against. They are always a well drilled team and every game against them is a cracker! ⚽️

This one was no different! Chances galore and great defending all over the pitch with brilliant tackling right left and centre!

Workington in the end took their chances far better than we did. We must have hit the bar and post 4/5 times!

But what a great game to watch, both teams giving it their all!!

Credit where it’s due, well done whites.

Man of the match went to Reuben for an outstanding performance for the second week in a row 💪🏻
Strong defending, great running with the ball, good passing, and all round good decision made when on the ball! Well done kid 👏🖤

Thanks to A.M Joinery for sponsoring the team this year & a massive thank you to all Reubens individual sponsors 🖤💛

Yesterday the lads took part in their first preseason tournament of the year at maryport athletic!

We were in a tough group with a good few teams banded above us but we were there to give it a real go, and we did!

We only lost two group games and made it all the way to the final against a tough workington greys team that are a top team and difficult to beat.

Unfortunately we came up short and just couldnt match them but the boys can be proud of themselves for getting to the final, as I’m very proud of them!

Well done lads 💛🖤

First game of preseason done for the 💛🖤

Thrown in against a tough Celtic Green side who love to battle hard, it was never going to be a straight forward game.

As always, solid tackling, end to end, great saves, goals galore, 19 goals shared between the two teams 🤯 and two teams that wanted to win.

We were missing a couple of players and our lads had to dig deep, but they did indeed do that in the end.

As usual, great game to watch, when is it not between us?! 😂

Man of the match went to Reuben. He was absolutely solid tonight and all over the pitch. Hard tackling, quick feet, spot on passing and a few decent shots at goal, all round brilliant performance!!

We go again Saturday against a tough Whitehaven team 💪🏽

Looking forward the new season with these lads 🖤💛
