πΉ Manchester Marathon
π Heather Tomlinson produced a superb run to finish 5th in the Elite Womenβs race with a PB of 2:44:28
π₯ Mark Wolstencroft clocked an incredible 2:52:00, finishing 2nd M60
π Luke Edwards also ran a fantastic PB of 2:31:45, finishing 40th overall
β‘ Tommy Harrison smashed his PB with 2:36:36
β Thrower, Robert Makin completed his first marathon in 4:51.47
π₯Scott Bracey finished strong in 4:39.45

π Martin Reid put in a very strong performance with 2:44:33

A slightly belated but well-deserved shoutout to Olivia Coker on her selection for the Sportshall UK Championships π
Olivia delivered a fantastic performance, achieving a new PB of 7.63m in the shot putβa great milestone and a testament to her hard work and consistency.
Her efforts contributed valuable points to the Greater Manchester Team, helping them secure 5th overall in the competition.
A brilliant achievement and plenty more to comeβwell done, Olivia! πͺ

A fantastic day at the BUH Annual Easter Cross Country Race! π£πββοΈππΎββοΈ
It was a hugely successful event, with plenty of smiles, energy, and funβespecially from our younger members who gave it their all out on the course. Great to see such enthusiasm and team spirit on display!
A big thank you to Ian Wallis, Ian Jakeway, and all the helpers who worked hard behind the scenes to make the event happen.

Fantastic performances at the Sale Indoor Open Series, with athletes delivering strong results across the board! πͺπ
From explosive sprints to powerful field events, the competition was packed with determination and personal bests.
Elise Hodgkinson β Hurdles debut with a clear run in 10.38 , equal PB of 1.45m in High Jump and 8.68 in her 60m heat.
Amelie Hodgkissβ Best of 4.25m in Long Jump, 1.35m in High Jump and a PB of 8.89 in the 60m!
Mollie Woodβ 5th in the 600m with 1:41.34
Mylah Collier β 1:51.39 in the 600m
Brody Shum β 4.48m in Long Jump and 8.08 in his 60m heat.
Linzi Jonesβ 2:13.88 in the 600m, 3.33m in Long Jump and 36.50 in the 200m.
Cerys Jones β 2:26.53 in the 600m, 3.97m in Shot Put and 42.03 in the 200m.
Jasmine Greenhalghβ 3:00.48 in the 600m, 2.90m in Shot Put and 52.38 in the 200m.

Huge congratulations to Princess Iwelu at the EA Championships! π π₯
π₯ U17 60m
Princess powered through three rounds to qualify for the final, finishing 7th overall and smashing a new PB of 7.62 in the rounds.
π U17 200m
Day 2 belonged to Princess! She set a new PB of 24.62 in the semi-final before storming to GOLD in the final, backing it up with an incredible 24.63.
Six races across the weekend, PBs on the big stage, and a championship title to top it off β an outstanding performance and a weekend to remember.
So proud of you, Princess! ππͺβ¨

π₯ Northern Indoor U13/U15 Championships π₯
Seven athletes from the club competed at the Northern Indoor Championships, producing an excellent set of performances with plenty of PBs, SBs and medals to celebrate.
π₯ π₯Anastasia Velicka dominated the 60m to win gold with a superb PB of 8.38, after another commanding performance in the long jump, taking gold with a leap of 4.67m.
π₯Jacob Grundy was fantastic in the U13 boys shot put, securing a bronze medal alongside a well-earned PB of 5.83m.
Alicia Moses and William Dodd also impressed, both reaching their respective finals and setting new personal bests in the process, rounding off a highly successful championships for the club.

Congratulations to Ben To on an excellent performance at the Scottish Indoor Championships, securing 2nd place in the 60m.
Ben won both his heat and semi-final before producing a strong run in the final to claim a well-deserved silver medal.
A fantastic achievement and a credit to the club π π€ π

He set things up early with a strong run in the 60m hurdles, opening a solid gap from the first event and staying in control from there. A great debut and a well-earned title ππ»

A huge congratulations to all 16 athletes who travelled to represent the club at the Northern Indoor Championships. The commitment, effort, and performances on display were outstanding π

π Standout Performances:
π₯ π₯Princess Iwelu delivered an exceptional performance, dominating every round of both the 60m and 200m, taking home 2 gold medals and setting a PB in the 60m.
π₯ π₯Jonny Kay claimed gold in the 1500m and added a bronze medal in the 800m.
π₯ Cerys Jones set a new PB and taking
home the bronze medal in the U17 1500m.
β Mollie Wood qualified for the U17 800m final with a PB, showing real promise as we head through the indoor season and towards outdoors.
