Congratulations to our Junior Team who are the winners of the Edinburgh Junior Golf League after winning today’s final at Royal Burgess an amazing achievement for our team.

It’s been a long time since Broomieknowe last won it in 1997 and we have developed some fabulous talent over the last few years. Well done to all our players who played today and also to those who have got us to where we are now. We always believed one day our time would come and it’s a proud moment for all of them and the club. 👏👏👏

Our Junior Team are on their way to the League Final after a brilliant 4-2 Semi-Final win over Murrayfield yesterday. They will now play Swanston in the Final on Sunday 16 August at the Royal Burgess. Massive congratulations to the team and good luck on Sunday. The whole club is behind you. Play well and enjoy.

Massive Congratulations to our Junior Team who have qualified for the semi finals of the Edinburgh Junior Golf League. A brilliant achievement in a tough group.

The semi final will be played at 2pm on Sunday 9th August against Murrayfield at Glencorse. Good Luck to our fabulous team🤞

Huge congratulations to Jamie McCreath on winning the Stephen Gallacher Foundation National Handicap Championship. What a fantastic result for Jamie who is another of our young rising stars. Absolutely delighted for him.

After some fantastic golf in our final yesterday our new Junior Champion went on to shoot the lights out today with a fantastic 5 under par 66 at Fereneze in the latest Stephen Gallacher Foundation strokeplay competition. Brilliant golf Lewis well done 👏 👏that should see a wee handicap cut. Keep up the great work 👍

Congratulations to Lewis Young our new Junior Champion. Lewis beat Lewis Brown in a fabulous final that went to the last hole.

Lewis Y was 3 up early on playing great golf then Lewis B turned it on and got back to all square at the 15th. A win for each of them on holes 16 and 17 saw it going the distance at all square heading down the 18th.

A brilliant birdie putt from Lewis Y took the 18th hole and the Junior Championship title.

It was a fantastic match and both boys should be very proud of their efforts. They had gathered a decent crowd by the time we got to the last few holes and the spectators were very impressed by the boys and their golf.

Junior golf is in good hands at Broomieknowe as we continue to produce some great young players. Thank you to everyone who came out to support them.

Thursday saw our first match which was at home for the Junior Team in the Edinburgh Junior Golf League against a very strong team from Mortonhall GC who’s highest handicap was 3.9.

produced a stalwart performance and won the match 3.5 to 2.5

Massive congrats to Kai Laing on winning the Craigmillar Park Open. The prestigious tournament has a list of top class winners and was won 50 years ago by Sir Nick Faldo in his last amateur event. What a start to the season for our star ⭐ well done Kai.👏👏👏🏆🏆
