💙🖤 FC Bridgewater Titans vs Bolton Lads & Girls 🖤💙

WHAT A PERFORMANCE FROM THE TITANS! 💪⚽

Another fantastic game of football from the boys today, showing great determination, teamwork and a never-give-up attitude!

The Titans got off to a flying start when Fabio's dangerous corner was turned into the net to give us the lead! ⚽

Bolton responded with an equaliser, but the boys kept playing their football. Some brilliant passing down the line between Elliott and Fabio saw Elliott deliver a fantastic low cross for Will to finish! 👏

Bolton fought back, scoring twice to put us behind, but the Titans weren't finished!

Will was in the right place at the right time to grab his second and bring us back level! 🔥

Then came another fantastic attacking move! Fabio drove forward with pace, creating the opening before Cobie set up Will to complete his brilliant hat-trick! ⚽⚽⚽

What impressed me most today was the boys' fighting spirit. Even when we went behind, their heads never dropped. They kept battling, working together and playing some lovely football.

👏 Today's goalscorers:

- ⚽ Fabio – Corner turned into the net
- ⚽⚽⚽ Will – Fantastic hat-trick!

Vikings Match Reports 18/10/26:

With a full squad available, Vikings managed to again play two games on Saturday, this time both at home. One against Leigh Genesis, the other against Strikerz FC.

Leigh Genesis: What an absolute cracker of a match! End-to-end football, brilliant attacking play and a fantastic team effort despite having no substitutes!

The first half was even with Aaran opening the scoring after racing through on goal and calmly placing his shot into the corner. Harrison added our second after a brilliant through ball from Aayush, playing from central defence.

Aaran then turned provider, delivering a superb cross for Harrison to score his second. Still tight going into the final quarter, the game was anyone's!

The goals kept coming, with Harrison completing an impressive hat-trick, including a brilliant finish from a corner. Aaran continued creating chances, setting up Luis for another excellent goal.

The boys were outstanding led fearlessly by captain Henry who was crucial at either end of the pitch. With no substitutes, their energy, pressing, dribbling and determination right to the final whistle were fantastic.

Team: Luis, Aayush, Aaran, Harrison, Henry (c)

🏆 Player of the Match: Aaran – Incredible dribbling, creativity and assists throughout. A constant threat!

⚽ Aaran x1, Harrison x3 and Luis x1

👏 Brilliant effort and definite growth in confidence and consistency.

Strikerz: On the pitch next door, the boys were up against a stern test in which they showed tremendous fight throughout the contest, also without any subs.

The first half possession was dominated by Strikerz but for Albie’s tackling and captain Reuben’s heroics in net the lads could have been in trouble.

Maaz and Mika in midfield began to take control and for the second week running they combined brilliantly thanks to Maaz work in open play for Mika to get Vikings on the scoreboard.

The game remained in the balance with Michalis pressing high up the field, just before the end of the third quarter he put in a peach of a cross which the lads were unlucky not to see converted.

What was most pleasing was the intent to play out the back and look to make passes rather than try and dribble around a highly capable opposition. Albie and Maaz connecting down the left is starting to bring a new dimension to our game.

Steam ran low towards the end of the game but once again there were plenty of positives to take forward.

Team: Reuben (c), Albie, Mika, Maaz, Michalis

MVP: Reuben for his countless heroic saves.

⚽️: Mika

Getting stuck in 💪

PPC have been together for over a year and have played many matches together, but Team Toone did not back down! The girls pressed the ball, got stuck into their tackles and looked to pass to each other whenever they could.

As the match went on, their confidence grew. They quickly discovered that tackling and passing were two of the strongest tools in their toolbox!

Best of all, every girl had a smile on her face — exactly what we love to see! 🩷

Final thoughts from the coaches 💬

“For many of our girls, this was the first time they had ever played in a match. For one girl, it was her very first session with Bridgewater, having only played football in the garden before!

⚽🏆 MATCH REPORT 🏆⚽

💙⚫ FC Bridgewater Titans vs Strikerz ⚫💙

🔥 THE TITANS ARE BACK! FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON! 🔥

What an absolutely fantastic performance from the boys today! The Titans secured their first win of the season with an outstanding team performance, and for me, the most pleasing thing was seeing the team looking like the Titans of old! 💪⚽

We didn't get off to the best start, finding ourselves behind early on. But what impressed me was the response from the boys. Nobody let their heads drop, nobody gave up, and instead they showed the determination and fighting spirit that we've been looking for.

Cobie got us back on level terms, finishing brilliantly after some great work from Harrison.

From that moment, the boys really started to express themselves. The confidence was growing, the passing was improving, and we were starting to play some fantastic attacking football.

Fabio put us ahead with a great finish before Cobie grabbed his second of the game.

The Titans were now playing with real confidence, moving the ball well and creating chances.

Fabio then added another two goals, including one assisted by Rory, completing his hat-trick! 🔥

Strikerz managed to pull another goal back, but the boys weren't going to let that change the momentum of the game.

Harrison then stepped up with two fantastic finishes, with Rory and Fabio both contributing to the attacking play.

And then we witnessed something very special!

⚽🔥 GOAL OF THE MATCH – FABIO! 🔥⚽

Fabio produced an absolutely unbelievable individual goal!

Picking the ball up from our own goal kick, he drove forward with confidence, taking on player after player as he made his way through practically the entire Strikerz team!

With only the goalkeeper left to beat, Fabio showed fantastic composure, calmly taking the ball around the keeper before passing it into the empty net!

What an incredible solo goal! The skill, determination, confidence and composure were outstanding. A goal worthy of winning any match and one I'm sure Fabio and the boys will remember for a long time! 👏💛🖤

And we weren't finished there!

Rory rounded off a brilliant individual performance by getting himself on the scoresheet, adding a well-deserved goal to his assists.

A fantastic way to finish a brilliant team performance!

👏 MANAGER'S THOUGHTS

Today wasn't just about getting our first three points of the season. It was about seeing the boys play with the confidence, energy, determination and togetherness that we know they're capable of.

Today, I saw the Titans of old!

The boys were working for each other, moving the ball, taking players on, creating chances and, most importantly, playing with smiles on their faces.

We've had a difficult start to the season, and sometimes when results aren't going your way, confidence can take a knock.

But today the boys showed exactly what they're capable of when they believe in themselves.

What impressed me most was how we responded to going behind. We didn't panic, we didn't start blaming each other, and we didn't stop playing football.

Instead, we kept going, grew into the game and took control.

There were some fantastic individual performances today, but football is a team game, and every single player played their part in this victory.

That's what I want to see every week. Players supporting each other, working hard for their teammates and having the confidence to express themselves.

We've still got plenty to work on, and one win doesn't make a season, but hopefully today is the turning point we've been waiting for.

If we can take today's confidence, teamwork and determination into the coming weeks, there's absolutely no reason why we can't build on this performance.

I couldn't be prouder of the boys today. They've kept going despite a tough start, and today they got the reward their hard work deserved.

A massive well done to every single player! 👏👏

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH – HARRISON 🏆

Harrison was outstanding today, scoring two fantastic goals, providing an assist and showing great energy, determination and attacking quality throughout the match. A thoroughly deserved Man of the Match award! 👏⚽

🏆 PARENTS' MAN OF THE MATCH – ELLIOTT 🏆

A huge well done to Elliott, who was chosen as the Parents' Man of the Match. A fantastic recognition of his hard work, effort and contribution to the team today! 👏💙🖤

And thank you to all the parents for your continued support from the sidelines. It really does make a difference to the boys.

Enjoy your weekend, Titans. You've earned this one! 💙🖤

🔥⚽ FC BRIDGEWATER TITANS – THE TITANS ARE BACK! ⚽🔥

FC Bridgewater Ronaldos vs Collyhurst Silver

It was a cold Saturday morning and called for some active warm ups to stop the boys from shivering! We were down to 5 so there was no substitutes and the boys knew they were in for a hard match in the first game of the Christmas cup against a team we've narrowly lost to before.

It was an even start before a couple of Collyhurst goals, Alfie replied with two tidy finishes that he took really well, adding to his pressing from the front throughout.

Theo made a great save from a close range free kick which temporarily took the wind out of his sails, but true to the spirit of the day he cracked on and got back into the thick of it.

Theo came out of net to bag a well taken hat trick. The highlight of which was a left foot strike that lasered into the bottom corner to pull a goal back. Alexander put in some incredibly brave saves in goal at the climax of the match. Alfie kept pressing up front and was nearly rewarded when he hit the woodwork with the game still level, before Theo struck the other post just before the end.

Ultimately, the winner was scored when a Collyhurst defender looped a long clearance high into the sky and it dropped in under the bar. It was a tough end to a fantastic performance, where each and every player worked so hard with and without the ball.

Alexander's tackling and driving forward with the ball was great to see. He was all action winning the ball back and it's great to see him getting more comfortable with the ball.

Seth was selfless as ever and determined to let nobody past him. He stuck to his task admirably and was deservedly rewarded from Coach Mike with the coaches player of the match.

Aaron's passing out of defence was crucial to launching our attacks, it's great to see his confidence growing. His all action performance without the ball is something we've now got used to seeing, never shying away from a tackle and positioning himself well.

Goals:
Alfie ⚽⚽
Theo ⚽⚽⚽

The parents rightfully refused to pick a player of the match as all of the boys played so well. Seth was rewarded for his defensive determination with one coaches trophy. Alfie was given the other for some brave dribbling on the ball, something we have been working on with him, and it was great to see him trying it more in matches.

A brave performance from all, and some rightfully tired bodies at the end of the match!

18/10/2026

Precision FC Blacks vs FC Bridgewater Cantona

A cold early morning of football, but that didn't stop the Cantona boys from putting on a fantastic show!
Cantona started strongly, with Lakoda opening the scoring before Precision responded. Lakoda found the net again, with Johnny joining the action shortly after. Precision kept battling, but Cantona continued to create chances, with Johnny and Lakoda adding to their tallies.
Cass then got himself on the scoresheet plenty of times! Affan followed with three goals in quick succession, while Lakoda continued his incredible scoring run. Frankie chipped on in but Precision continued to try to fight back, but the boys' attacking quality and teamwork shone through to secure them a nice win in the first game of the Christmas cup 🏆 🎅🏼

Lakoda- He must have had some superpower in his breakfast this morning because he was ON FIRE! 8 goals and a brilliant performance from start to finish. Absolutely unstoppable and a well deserved man of the match!
Cass -Four goals on his birthday! A fantastic attacking performance and the perfect way to celebrate. We even finished the morning singing Happy Birthday pitch side and having a team McDonalds breakfast to celebrate!
Affan-Three goals and a performance full of skill and determination. He worked hard, showed some lovely touches and took his chances brilliantly.
Johnny- Two goals for Johnny, who was always looking to get involved in the attack, receiving the ball nicely from Shea and helped keep the pressure on the Precision defence.
Frankie- Alongside getting on the scoresheet once, Frankie made some crucial tackles and showed fantastic commitment when defending. A great all-round performance and big improvements in his ability recently!
Shea- Fantastic leadership from Shea in goal! His communication and confidence helped organise the team, showing how important he is between the posts.
Lewie- Worked hard in defence even if his fingers were like ice and even managed a shot on target himself! Unlucky not to score, but brilliant to see him getting forward and having a go but running back just on time!
Simon- Worked hard in defence and on the wing, constantly moving the ball from left to right to create chances for his teammates. Great teamwork and awareness!

The passing today was fantastic! The boys moved the ball brilliantly, found their teammates and created chances through some lovely combinations. It's great to see their teamwork, confidence and understanding of the game and positions developing week by week.
Proud of every single one of them💙

FCB Pythons Vs Elite greys.

A very early start for the pythons this morning in the start of the Christmas cup.

After scrapping ice of the cars this morning we arrived at Manchester college for an 8am KO. We started the game playing 6 a side as our opposition didn’t have a full team. The pythons started quickly on a big pitch and Jesse Costa showed his pace and his excellent finishing. As the rest of the opposition turned up we went back to 7 a side and got hit quickly on the break three times. The boys stuck to the task and struck back Priyan with a great finish. The boys showed spells
If irresistible football and came up with a brilliant move for the 3rd goal.

At half time we talked to the boys about calm on the ball and getting stuck in and staying switched on.

Into the second half the boys were back and forward with Elite playing some great football. Elite broke on us and scored again before a great piece of forward play from
Jesse crossed for Zane to roll home. Again hit in the break elite scored a great goal with a strike accross Jesse De Gea that he couldn’t get.

The boys were unlucky today as the sun was in our face for the most part the early KO well done to Elite a great game and start to the Christmas cup.

Player of the match was George again a rock at the back and getting us up the pitch

Parents player Jesse C. Showing everyone a clean pair of heels and staying in space throughout.

Match report 10 October

Plenty of fight after a slow start

Little Lever v FCB Vikings

Another tensely fought contest was played away at Little Lever on Saturday. The Vikings mindset of “fast start” was unfortunately lacking for a second week straight as the home side took control and got the scoreboard moving early.

Vikings found their rhythm eventually but in the pursuit of the game they left themselves exposed on more occasions towards the end of the contest.

This was another team who we had plenty of entertaining battles with last season but like others have turned a corner with their passing and that yet again proved to be the difference between the two sides. More practice and ex*****on in training for the Vikings will no doubt bear fruit on Saturdays soon.

Reuben: Some excellent saves single handedly kept Vikings in the game at crucial points.

Albie: Great distribution from the back and commanded play well in the midfield when carrying out.

Aayush: Crucial as ever with many crunching tackles and often managing lees being outnumbered with great composure.

Mika: Superb at either end of the field, stepping up well when dropping to defence and poached on two corners for a brace in attack.

Maaz: Struck fear into the opposition with his carries and was lethal at the set piece, responsible for all 3 goals as a result of fine distribution and well delivered corners.

Aaran: Carried well and played some telling balls into the danger zone.

Harrison: Tireless pressing all game from the skipper. Went very close on a number of occasions with testing shots which drew impressive saves from the opposition GK.

Henry: As always stepped up wherever he was asked to play, a rock at the back and a menace up top for the opposition, carrying forward with no fear.

Luis: An excellent game making countless yards up the field leaving opponents in his wake every time. His influence and excellent goal sparked belief across the entire squad.

Team:
Reuben, Aayush, Albie, Aaran, Mika, Luis, Harrison©️, Henry, Maaz

MVP: Special mentions for Luis who dragged the team back into the contest and Albie for heroic defending and link play. However MVP is Maaz looked dangerous whenever he got the ball and was crucial in all three goals.

Mika ⚽️ ⚽️

This weekend is The FA's Play Safe Weekend, the annual national safeguarding campaign that brings the football community together to promote safe, positive and inclusive environments for children and young people.

This year's theme is ‘Keep Up the Convo’, encouraging coaches, parents, volunteers and spectators to have regular conversations with children and young people, not just about football, but about how they're feeling, their wellbeing and their experiences. By keeping these conversations going, we can help ensure that everyone feels comfortable speaking up if something isn't right.

As coaches, you play a vital role in creating environments where players feel safe, valued and supported. Over the weekend, please take a moment to reflect on how safeguarding is embedded within your team and use the opportunity to reinforce the importance of listening, checking in, and creating open dialogue with your players.

Manchester FA staff will be visiting clubs and matches across the county throughout the weekend to support clubs, officials and volunteers, and to celebrate the great safeguarding work taking place across the game.

For more information about Play Safe Weekend and access to campaign resources, please visit: https://www.englandfootball.com/playsafe.

If you have any safeguarding or welfare concerns relating to your team, or the club, please contact me, Laura or Jamie Bold (Club Welfare Officers) at [email protected].
