🌈🐻 FIRST ADVENTURES 🐻🌈
What a lovely morning we had at our very first “First Adventures” class! 💜
A huge well done to Archie, who threw himself into everything — and very quickly appointed himself our official Teddy Bear Helper! 🐻😂 He did a fantastic job collecting up our bears and helping to give them out 🩷
We packed so much into our 45 minutes together, with lots of singing, movement and exploring through play. We shook our tambourines, danced with colourful scarves, played with our teddy bears and enjoyed lots of interactive activities together.
First Adventures is all about giving little ones the chance to move, explore, build confidence and enjoy music and movement alongside their grown-up — with plenty of fun along the way. 🌟
Thank you to Archie and his lovely mum Layla for making our first adventure such a joyful one. 💜
We have spaces available in both our Monday and Friday morning First Adventures classes for children aged 2–4.

🌈✨ FIRST ADVENTURES — BOOKING IS NOW LIVE! ✨🌈

We are SO excited to say that booking is now officially open for our brand-new JCADA First Adventures parent & toddler movement programme! 🧸💜

Designed especially for little ones aged 2–4 and their grown-ups, First Adventures is all about moving, playing, exploring and growing together through music, movement, imaginative play and lots of colourful props. 🎶🌈

We are launching with two introductory 8-week courses, giving families the choice of:

🌟 Mondays 10:00–10:45am — beginning 28th September
🌟 Fridays 10:00–10:45am — beginning 2nd October

Our special introductory offer is £48 for all 8 sessions — just £6 per session when booked and paid for in advance. 💜

🎶✨ EXCITING NEWS FOR OUR JCADA SINGERS! ✨🎶
We’re very excited to share that we will soon be introducing a brand-new singing syllabus at JCADA! 🌟
Moving forward, our singers will have the opportunity to work towards London College of Music Examinations, with two fantastic Musical Theatre pathways available:
🎭 Musical Theatre for Actors — ideal for students who love bringing a song to life through character, storytelling, interpretation and performance.
🎤 Musical Theatre for Singers — with a greater focus on vocal performance, technique, style and stage presence.
Even better, both Miss Debi and Miss Clare are qualified to deliver these LCM examinations, meaning our singers can continue learning with the teachers they already know and love while working towards exciting new qualifications and opportunities. 💜
We’re really looking forward to introducing the new syllabus and finding the pathway that best suits each individual singer.
Same brilliant JCADA support… with lots of exciting new opportunities ahead! 🎶🌟

🌟🎶 SINGING STARS 🎶🌟
A huge well done to Miss Debi’s Singing Stars from last week and this week — Millie and Maria! ✨
🌟 Millie really impressed Miss Debi with the work she has been doing on her higher notes. She has been developing the control needed to maintain a soft dynamic whilst still producing a beautiful, rounded tone. Millie has also been working incredibly hard on building her breath support, and it’s clear that she has been putting plenty of practice in at home too. Fantastic work, Millie! 🎤💜
🌟 Maria has made such a brilliant start to her singing journey! In just her first three lessons, she has really impressed Miss Debi with her hard work and commitment. She has been putting lots of effort into both her lessons and her practice at home, and that dedication is already shining through. Keep it up, Maria! 🎶✨

✨ PANTOMIME AUDITIONS 2026 ✨

All of our pantomime audition results have now been sent out, so we can finally share some of the footage from what was a fantastic day of auditions! 🎭✨

We are incredibly proud of every single dancer who stepped into that studio and gave it their best.

For some, this was their very first pantomime audition. Others have auditioned before, and some have already experienced the excitement of performing in the pantomime. Wherever they are on their journey, every single one of them showed courage, determination and a willingness to challenge themselves.

As explained in their individual reports, the final overall percentages were not based solely on audition day. Scores from our three independent judges were combined with points collected throughout the academic year for areas including attendance, behaviour and attitude, presentation, effort, commitment and professionalism.

We wanted the selection process to recognise not only how our dancers performed on the day, but also the hard work, consistency and commitment they demonstrate throughout the year.

And what a standard we had this year! 🌟

To everyone who has been offered a place — congratulations. We cannot wait to get started!

To those who haven't secured a performance place this time, please don't let that dim your sparkle. Keep training. Keep taking opportunities. Keep performing. Keep building your confidence. And most importantly, keep believing in yourself.

Every class, every correction, every performance and every audition is helping you grow. The dancer you are today isn't the dancer you'll be this time next year.

Some of our dancers have had to audition more than once before earning their place — and that's exactly why we want everyone to keep going.

Be proud that you auditioned. Be proud of how far you've come. And if pantomime is your dream, come back and try again next year. ❤️

The videos we're sharing were filmed at the end of each group's hour-long audition session and these clips give you a little glimpse of just how much choreography the dancers learned within that hour and what they achieved in such a short space of time. 🌟

✨ A little JCADA milestone ✨
Sunday was one of those days where we stopped for a moment and realised just how far JCADA has come.
Every part of The Ridlington was busy with dancers, teachers, music and rehearsals. 🥹
🩰 In our main studio, Miss Emily was working with dancers on their NPAA Championship choreography.
🩰 In our mini studio, Miss Josie was working through Championship choreography with some of our younger dancers.
🎶 And upstairs, Miss Debi and Miss Clare were helping some of our dancers prepare for their performances at Blackfriars Theatre’s 60th Anniversary Concert.
Three different spaces working towards exciting opportunities. One very busy little building! ❤️
When we opened The Ridlington, this was exactly what we hoped it would become — a home for JCADA where different lessons, rehearsals and opportunities could all happen under one roof.
Seeing the whole building come to life like this on Sunday felt like a lovely little milestone.
Sometimes when you’re constantly rushing from one thing to the next, you forget to stop and appreciate how far you’ve come.
Sunday was definitely one of those moments. 🥹✨

🌟✨ DANCERS OF THE WEEK ✨🌟
A huge well done to our wonderful Monday–Saturday Dancers of the Week from last week! 🏆💜
Each of these dancers stood out in their class for going that little extra mile. Whether it was beautiful presentation, fantastic concentration, noticeable improvement, extra effort, great focus or simply working incredibly hard throughout their lesson — they gave us a reason to notice them. 🥰
And that’s something we really want our dancers to remember… the little things get noticed too. ✨
It might be remembering a correction and really trying to apply it, concentrating when you normally find it difficult, presenting yourself beautifully, persevering with something you’ve been struggling with, or simply showing us that extra bit of determination.
Progress isn’t always one huge moment. Sometimes it’s lots of little moments of effort that add up to something really special. 💜

🎭☁️ CASTLE ON A CLOUD – AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT! ☁️🎭

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our wonderful 11 JCADA singers who auditioned for Castle on a Cloud! 💜

They all did absolutely amazing, and the audition panel were so impressed with their beautiful vocals, professionalism and politeness. They conducted themselves so wonderfully, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them. They gave the panel such a tough decision that they have decided to rejiggle the song to make sure everyone can be involved! 🥰

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that ALL 11 OF OUR WONDERFUL SINGERS will be taking part in the Blackfriars Theatre 60th Anniversary Concert, performing together as a beautiful choir of Cosette’s, alongside 4 JCADA lovely soloists! ✨🎶

What a fantastic opportunity for you all, and we cannot wait to see you shine on that stage. 🌟

A HUGE WELL DONE to each and every one of you. We are incredibly proud of you for having the courage to audition, for giving it your all, and for sharing your beautiful voices with us.

💜 A LITTLE THANK YOU TO MISS ALISON 💜

A huge thank you to our lovely Miss Alison, who came in last night to take over our Belly Dance and Speech & Drama classes — and will be back again tonight to give me some extra support with our Acro classes. 🥰

The children absolutely loved having her! Miss Alison always brings so much fun and energy into the studio… including apparently turning an entire Speech & Drama class into little old ladies! 😂👵🏻 The photo says it all!

On a personal note, I’m incredibly grateful. We’re doing our very best to keep everything at JCADA running as normally and happily as possible, but it’s only been a couple of days since we lost our little Lulu and, understandably, I’m not quite my usual sparkly self just yet. 💜

Having Miss Alison there to step in, make the children laugh and give me a little bit of breathing space has meant more than she probably realises.

Thank you, Miss Alison, for being there 💜

And thank you to all of our JCADA families for the kindness and understanding you’ve shown us too. It really has been appreciated more than you know.
