Last Sunday, on a bright sunny autumnal day, Boston Rowing Club juniors were back competing for the first time in 2 years. They headed to Ancholme River in Brigg where they took part in a 3km race in near perfect conditions.
Three of the juniors took part in their first competition (who have a combined rowing experience of less than 2 years). Despite this, they all pulled out a fantastic performance as scullers and managed to win two medals between the group. They all thoroughly enjoyed their day and have all said that they can’t wait for the next competition! The juniors at the Boston club have grown from strength to strength over the last year and under such a supportive and encouraging environment, they will undoubtedly continue to thrive.
The juniors meet on a Saturday morning from 10am to 12am if anyone wants to come along and try this fun and exciting sport. Over 18’s meet on a Sunday morning from 9am – 11am.
