Match Report

Opening Day Defeat

Swineshead 1st suffered a 3–0 defeat on the opening day against Fishtoft Reserves.

For the first 60 minutes, Swineshead defended solidly and worked hard to keep Fishtoft at bay. Unfortunately, our attack never really got into the game, and despite the defensive effort, Fishtoft’s persistence eventually paid off as they found the breakthrough.

From there, the visitors added two more goals to secure the points.

A big thank you to our reserve players who stepped up today and gave everything for the team. A special mention to Res keeper Boswell, who pulled off some great saves throughout the game and kept us in it for long periods.

I am sharing this as this is a farm that belongs to a player at our club. Please don't feel you have to donate but any donations will help the family at this terrible time.

This family’s farm was devastated by a large fire, destroying years of hard work and many essential sheds and machinery. It’s heartbreaking to see such a sudden loss, especially when so much effort has gone into building this farm over the past 15 years.

This fundraiser has just reached 45% of its goal, and I believe sharing it can help it gain even more support. Even if you can’t donate right now, a quick share can help reach someone who might be able to help rebuild what’s been lost.

Our Swineshead mens team played in a charity Celebrity football match today at Young Dons Junior Football Club. A brilliant day raising lots of money for Tom's Trust. Plus they came away winner 7-0 winning their first Trophy of many as a new team for the club. Thanks to Ant & Richard for making today happen. 💙💙
