💙 MATCH REPORT BOSTON TOWN U13'S 💙

💙⚽ CUP DAY FOR THE TOWN! ⚽💙

Boston town 3 - 1 metheringham

The team travelled away to Metheringham today for our cup tie, and what a performance it was! 👏

From the first whistle, we got stuck straight in, moved the ball around really well and looked a constant threat going forward.

⚽ 20 MINUTES — GOAL!

We earned a corner and Harlee delivered a dangerous ball into the box.
Tay was waiting at the back post and met it perfectly, flicking it into the back of the net!

1-0 TOWN! 💙🔥

And we weren't finished there…

⚽ 28 MINUTES — WHAT A GOAL! 🚀

Harlee floated into midfield, picked up possession and then produced an absolute SCREAMER from near the halfway line, finding the top corner!
What a strike! 😮‍💨🔥

2-0!

Half-time came and we gathered the team in for a little chat, got some drinks down them and then it was back out for the second half.

Metheringham came out fighting and around the 50th minute we lost the ball in midfield and were caught on the counter.
Jenson made a fantastic save to try and preserve the clean sheet, but unfortunately the follow-up was tapped home.

2-1.

Game on…

But the team didn't let their heads drop.
From the restart, we picked ourselves straight back up, dug in and continued to play our football.
We moved the ball around the pitch brilliantly and started creating chances again.

A great ball from the back found Reagan in midfield. He looked up, saw Lloris absolutely ploughing down the right-hand side and played a perfectly weighted ball into his path.

Lloris didn't hesitate.
From a tight angle, he unleashed a fantastic shot on target, but the keeper managed to get a hand to it and parried it back into danger…

…and waiting there was TAY! 👊

Tay followed in and smashed the rebound into the back of the net!

3-1 TOWN! 💙⚽🔥

From there, the team dug deep, worked for each other and saw the game through to secure a fantastic cup victory away from home! 👏

Every single player played their part today.
The effort, the determination, the football and, most importantly, the togetherness was brilliant to watch.

Our Under 11s travelled to Whittlesey on Saturday morning for another game of football. 💙⚽️

It was a slow start from the boys, but they soon found their rhythm and the pace of the game picked up. We created plenty of chances throughout the match, but unfortunately just couldn’t quite find the finish to take advantage of the opportunities we created.

There were plenty of positives to take from the game, with the boys working hard and showing some great football as the game went on. 👏

Benjamin was on fire from start to finish, giving everything for the team and putting in a fantastic performance. A well-deserved Man of the Match! 👏🏆

Another Fantastic Team Performance! ⚽️

Today, our lads welcomed HBW in what turned out to be an entertaining and thoroughly deserved performance.

From the first whistle to the last, the lads controlled the game, showing great composure, teamwork and determination. What made the performance even more impressive was that every outfield player got on the scoresheet, highlighting just how well this team is playing for one another.

We saw an array of goals today — from stunning volleys and long-range strikes to well-worked team moves and simple tap-ins. There was something for everyone!

Week on week, these lads continue to show what hard work, commitment and determination can achieve. The progress they're making as a team is fantastic to see, and when they play together like this, they really show what they're capable of.

Proud of every single one of them. 👏⚽️

On to the next one! 💪
