Shooting was never really meant to be a solitary sport.
Some of the best friendships are made — and maintained — over a round of clays.
If you’ve not made plans for the weekend yet, give someone a call, get the guns out and come and spend a few hours with us!

A rare photo of (almost!) everyone in the same place.
A good number of our team are involved when we have corporate groups with us, from the coaches running the shooting to reception and the kitchen keeping everything moving behind the scenes.
And somehow, we managed to get most of them looking at the camera at the same time!

Apparently summer has taken the day off. We haven’t.
The course is open, the buggies are ready and there’s plenty of shelter around the ground.
And if you needed an excuse for coffee and cake afterwards, we think today qualifies!

Game season is nearly here!
If the gun’s been in the cabinet for most of the summer, now is probably the time to do something about it.
Our High Tower is ideal for brushing up on those driven birds before the season gets underway, whether you simply want to put a few cartridges through the gun or spend some time getting properly back into the swing of things.
Head Coach Steve is also available for tuition for anyone wanting to iron out a few bad habits before they appear in the field.
High Tower practice can be booked through the shooting ground website 🍂

Birthday celebrations at Grimsthorpe this morning!
Stewart took this lovely group out for our clay shooting experience to celebrate a very special 50th birthday. What better way to get friends and family together than a bit of breakfast, shooting and of course, some friendly competition along the way! Happy 50th Birthday Jay!
Clay shooting is a great way to mark any occasion, and we can accommodate as few or as many people as you wish.

Last month, we were incredibly fortunate to host the second annual fundraising event in support of the Royal Anglian Regiment Charity. The charity raises funds in support of serving soldiers, veterans and their families who are facing need, hardship or distress.
Following lunch, Colonel Ben Hawes delivered an informative talk on current affairs, providing guests with an insight into our armed forces and wider society.
If you would like to find out more about the Royal Anglian Regiment Charity or how you can support them, please send us a message or search ‘Royal Anglian Regiment Charity’.

Grimsthorpe Member’s Day 2026!
Our biggest member’s day to date, and what a fantastic day it was! Coffee, croissants, great sporting clays, flushes, air pistol shooting, an amazing lunch by The Rookery, (delicious ham from Mill Farm | Farm & Butchers as always!) all finished off with a really interesting talk from Sports Psychologist Alex Target in Mind.
We are looking forward to next year already!
