WIth the 11 am golf session now full, we have started another group, starting at 10am. Only nine spaces available.

Not every child is fast, agile, strong, slim, flexible, two arms, two feet, small, light, tall or heavy.

A static ball played at walking pace, non-physical and non-contact, there are no barriers to participation. Even the non-competitive child becomes hooked as they start o believe they can do better and improve.

With prices starting from £30 per month - it has never been a better time to get your child into golf. Golf is about playing on the golf course and not just about learning techniques, that is why we have 8 different hole lengths on the front nine at Toft Hotel Golf CLub, so all the children can play together from their own level and help each other to improve.

The sun was shining (for a change) yesterday afternoon and six children attended the first get into golf taster session of the year. Four boys and two girls aged between six and eleven.

The session was split into three sections,
- Hitting the ball a long way (always harder than it looks ;-) )
- Putting - long distance and holing out (even harder)
- Followed by a walk out on to golf course to see what the game is all about and how all the different shots come together.

Looking forward to hopefully seeing some of the children again in the Saturday golf sessions and helping enjoy playing the wonderful game of golf.

Reason # 3 for getting your child into golf.

Yes, golf is a computer game but is also an outdoor adventure, that lasts a lifetime.

Unlike the computer game that can be mastered and then thrown away. Real golf will continually test and tax the player in their quest for the perfect shot or round. They know they can hit that shot and believe that hey can do it every time, but somehow it just doesn't happen!. BUT they still BELIEVE it will!

Problem-solving, patience, hours of practice and perseverance are required by any person let alone child that want to play golf well. Isn't that like anything else you want in the real world?

Here is a review received after a junior competition at The Toft Country House Hotel & Golf Club this afternoon.

Give your kids to Darren Game for a few hours. They come home tired, muddy a bit soggy but happy. I can't quite understand why they need to text each other the minute they leave the golf course though. She'd obtained Will's number from Daniel, texted him and received a reply all before the Bourne junction! Such fantastic friendships you've facilitated Mr Golf teacher.
