I will be sharing all my fitness tips and work outs as I continue to create a program for all to fol
As a dad of three, I know how hard it can be to juggle family, work, and finding time for yourself.
But that one hour in the gym isn’t time taken away from your family—it’s an investment in them.
Training helps you show up with more energy, more patience, and a better mindset. It helps you become the strongest version of yourself, both physically and mentally.
You don’t need to train for hours. Just stay consistent, avoid overcommitting, and when you’re home, be fully present.
It’s not always easy, but it’s only one hour a day—and the impact reaches far beyond the gym.
41 years old.
Played rugby at a high level. Competed in CrossFit. Completed two ultra marathons and the London Marathon.
Spent 16+ years coaching thousands of people to get stronger, fitter, healthier and more confident. Helped clients lose 40kg+, learn Olympic lifting, master gymnastics and build serious endurance.
Yet sometimes I still catch myself comparing my journey to coaches half my age with half the experience.
The funny thing is, they’re often marketing to busy professionals and parents… while they’ve never had to balance school runs, family life, business pressures and training themselves.
A good reminder that experience matters.
The lessons learned through years of coaching, competing, succeeding and failing can’t be rushed.
Comparison is a strange game. Sometimes the person you’re comparing yourself to is trying to build the credibility you’ve already earned.

The last 4 weeks have been a reminder that fitness isn’t just about training hard—it’s about managing recovery too.
From the London Marathon, straight into a family holiday, then running a fitness competition, followed by laying a new gym floor, it’s been a busy period with very little time to slow down.
My HRV reflected that. Stress was high, recovery was low, and training took a back seat.
I’ve focused on getting the basics right again—nutrition, sleep, and structured training. Slowly but surely, the numbers are moving in the right direction.
Feeling a little more like myself each day, and it’s nice to see the HRV trending up as a reminder that consistency with the fundamentals always pays off.

Why spend £3,000 on new gym flooring when the old floor was still “okay”?
Because okay isn’t our standard.
For the past 16 years, we’ve been committed to providing a clean, professional, high-quality training environment. From premium Eleiko equipment to regularly serviced cardio machines, we believe the details matter.
Every squat, deadlift, burpee, and mobility session starts from the floor. A solid, stable surface improves both the training experience and the longevity of the facility.
It’s not the most exciting investment, but it’s another example of our commitment to continually improving the gym for our members.
Because if we’re asking you to invest in your fitness, we should be investing in your training environment too.

New training block. New focus.
The marathon is done, and now it’s time to rebuild.
Over the past few months, strength and Olympic lifting have taken a back seat to running, so this block is about bringing them back to the forefront.
The last four weeks have been a little less structured than usual, but I’m ready to get back into a routine and enjoy the process again.

After a whirlwind weekend at the Fitness Games and a week spent juggling family, business, and training, this has been one of those weeks that called for reflection more than performance.
Monday was spent packing down the Fitness Games after a huge weekend. Since then it’s been about getting back into a routine, returning to functional fitness, and looking forward to building my strength numbers back up.
With the kids off school, family time has taken priority this week—and rightly so. Being a dad, running a business, and trying to train for your own goals is always a balancing act.
Food prep is done, training is planned, and I’m ready to get back on track next week.
Some weeks are about chasing performance. Others are about managing life, staying consistent, and keeping the bigger picture in mind.
One thing I’ve learnt over the past 25 years of training
Be consistent
Enjoy the process
