So proud of every single one of our students who competed at the Hinckley Karate Competition today. 🥋
Yes, there were medals, trophies, and fantastic performances — but what stood out most was the way everyone supported each other from start to finish. Encouraging teammates, celebrating each other’s successes, lifting each other up after difficult moments… that’s what makes this club special.
Karate is about much more than winning. It’s about courage, respect, perseverance, and being part of something bigger than yourself. Today showed exactly that.
Thank you to all the students, parents, coaches, and supporters who made the day so memorable. We’re incredibly proud of you all — not just for how you performed, but for the way you represented our karate family. ❤️

What an incredible team we have. We came together even with a personal crisis. It’s what we do. Have each others backs. That’s what we want to teach our kids.
Proud is an understatement.

Proud to be a small part in this incredible journey since 2018.
A team of coaches who genuinely care about bringing out the very best in each and every athlete.
It’s an honour to have every one of you as part of the GBMAT 🇬🇧 Coaching Team.

A dojo is easy to describe if you only look at the surface. It’s the polished floor, the mirrors, the familiar rhythm of bare feet moving in unison. It’s the place where techniques are practiced and belts are earned. But anyone who has truly spent time in a dojo knows that none of those things are what make it special.
Because it’s never really about the space.
It’s about the people who step into it—day after day, bringing their effort, their discipline, their doubts, and their determination. It’s about the shared understanding that progress isn’t instant, and that every small improvement matters.
In our advanced class, these 40 students in just one class, move together, each at a different point in their journey, yet all connected by the same pursuit. There’s a quiet respect in the room—earned not through rank alone, but through consistency, resilience, and the willingness to keep showing up. Some have trained for years, others are still finding their rhythm, but together they create something that no empty dojo ever could.
They push each other. They learn from one another. They hold the standard high—not because they have to, but because they want to.
That’s what fills a dojo with life.
Not the walls. Not the mats. Not even the traditions on their own.
It’s the people—the energy they bring, the bonds they build, and the shared commitment to becoming just a little better every time they bow in.
And that’s what makes a dojo feel like home.
A great video from the World martial arts games from the USA team in Norway🇳🇴. See who you can spot.. ❤️

🔥 Huge Achievement for MB Martial Arts! 🔥
21 members of MB Martial Arts proudly attended the first National GB Squad Training — all in preparation for the European Games in Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪🇬🇧🥋
Sensei Mike and Sensei Shaun couldn’t be prouder of the team’s commitment and attitude throughout an intense 4 hours of training. 💪
There’s loads to work on, but this is a massive achievement for our club and a big step forward on the journey to the European stage. The hard work is only just beginning — and remember… practice makes improvement! 👊
Berlin, we’re coming. Let’s keep pushing! 💥🥋
