Due to the strength of the wind gusts we have taken the decision to cancel this morning's parkrun.
The gusts are due to get stronger over the next couple of hours so for health and safety we are off!
See you next week for the Reverse Advent Calendar parkrun and stay safe.

Can anyone help? Our caterer is now unable to attend tomorrow, so we're looking for a replacement coffee van to come along...

On Sunday 24 November, it's the annual Boscombe 10K race. As a small club it is always a challenge for us to gather enough marshals to ensure we have a safe event. If you can spare a couple of hours on that morning, please follow this link to add a few contact details

🌎 Leave No Trace 🌎
We won’t be perfect, but we’re doing our best to make some small tweaks to the Boscombe 10k to reduce the environmental impact and make it more sustainable.
Here’s some of what we’re doing…
💚 Local and more sustainable options for our race medals.
💚 On the day number collection, less postage, packaging and less waste.
💚 Encouraging runners to carry their own water, and to use the water refill point in the stadium.
💚Requesting no litter is dropped on route, encouraging runners to use bins, bin liners out on course, or if all else fails, carrying until such is available
💚Cups, not bottles available on the course and at the end. If the cups are plastic, they are old stock from previous years we are trying to use up, new cups are biodegradable.
💚Reusing signage and marshal bibs from previous years. We realise neither are particularly environmentally friendly but we’re achieving 2 of the 3 r’s…reduce and reuse.
💚 Donating left over medals from previous races (along with old kit from club
members) to Preloved Sports CIC. The metal is sent to be recycled. The ribbons will be repurposed. ♻️

Thank you to Alexandra Sportsand Southbourne Park Garage, sponsors of this years Boscombe 10k!
We are very fortunate to have the support of our sponsors, without who the would not be possible.
Drop the car off at Southbourne Park Garage for a service or MOT, then pop into Alexandra Sports for new kit! It’s a win-win situation 🙌
