Bournemouth Poppies charity day 2026 raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Tomorrow we host our third charity day in aid of the Alzheimer’s society.

We are incredibly grateful for the donations we have received so far.

A day full of fun with the two main events being our football matches.

At 12pm (midday) you can see Bournemouth FC Reserves take on Ferndown Town FC

At 2pm is our mixed match (swipe to see our two teams). Our men’s first team manager, reserves manager and our women’s players are all involved whilst our women’s manager is the referee 👀

Come and enjoy a great day of fun raising money for a great cause.

We will travel to play the winners of Wimborne Town FC Women⚫️⚪️ or in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup first qualifying round.

The tie will be played on Sunday 6th September with our opponents to be confirmed after they meet in the preliminary round which takes place on Sunday 23rd August.

A first pre-season run out of the summer against a good Mudeford Phoenix side in the evening heat and sun.

Good to get 16 players on the pitch working on match fitness and different patterns and plays.

CHARITY DAY🎗️

On Sunday 2nd August Bournemouth Poppies will be hosting another charity day in aid of a charity close to our hearts.

In the past two events we’ve held, we raised nearly £5000 and we want to add more to a great cause.

(A mix of first team, development and youth players)

🕑 2:00pm – Mixed Poppies Game
🚫 Fully booked – no spaces remaining

There’ll also be plenty going on throughout the day, including:

🍻 Bob’s Bar open all day

RETAINED ✍️

Another two important players have re-signed for poppies for the forthcoming season.

Liv P joined us in the final third of the 25/26 season and made a huge impact on the wing. She made five appearances and registered one assist and we are looking forward to seeing her in the 26/27 season.

Emily brings her higher level experience for a second season and this showed during the 25/26 campaign. Playing in all 24 matches her big game experience showed with clutch moments. Emily scored two goals and registered five assists across last season.
