Dips can be a difficult movement to execute
Particularly if you have elbow or shoulder issues
But there is a way around it
The problem why you get shoulder issues is due to the loading of the joint in this vertical position and the torque around the joint
By using a bench we eliminate these 2 variables by changing the path of resistance
We have saved the dip !!

Mechanical tension is obviously a large part of muscular hypertrophy
But itβs not a single metric deciding the outcome
A rep isnβt just a rep - moving load from a - b needs more attention than lift something heavy to get big
We know tissue growth can occur anywhere between 5-30 reps so load isnβt the number factor when it comes to growth
EFFORT & INTENSITY
Regardless of load - your perceived effort matters
This is achieved through reaching approximate levels of failure (0-2RIR)
Intensity is the ability to maintain a specific load under strict conditions of ex*****on and tempo
Application of both are the necessary tools to greater levels of musculature

The biggest lever we pulled was not her output but her input
Not from food but optimising her digestion and gut-brain axis
Coaching Luci has been great as Iβve given her tools along the way not only through food choices that optimise her digestion but understanding her stress levels and how they effect her gut health
90% serotonin is released in the gut, your mood is basically dictated via your gut -
Re-wiring food selection / supplementation and overseeing postive steps towards a lower stressful environment optimised her fat loss goals
We are 5kg away from our goal weight before a transitional period away from fat loss
