SMS Care Training

We attended an excellent JCN study day yesterday at the Hilton, Ageas bowl Southampton.

This month we have been delivering moving and handling training at a New Forest care home.

This month we have been training care home staff in: Recognising deteriorating residents and restore 2 . Preventing pressure ulcers and contractures and training Nurses in Verification of expected death.

This month we have been training staff in care homes accross the New Forest in: moving and handling, venepuncture, pressure area care, preventing contractures, and recognising the deteriorating patient.

This month we have been training care home staff in managing Behaviours, pressure area care and prevention of contractures.

I attended an online course about pressure ulcers and the coroners court. We had a real life scenario to work through, with an interesting outcome. Thank you coloplast for organising this half day CPD.

Recently, our trainers have been training care home staff in Pressure area care and prevention of contractures, medication management, Dementia care and syringe driver training.
