About Swim Bournemouth

Swim Bournemouth was established in 2010 with an amalgamation of Ferndown Otters Swimming Club and the Bournemouth Dolphins Swimming Club. Both very successful clubs in their own right providing swimmers in the Dorset area with the best opportunities to progress from learning to swim through to national level opportunities. We compete in local, district, national and intern

ational competition in all age groups. Including, senior competitive and masters swimming. Swim Bournmouth has achieved recognition as a prominent source of instruction, training, and competitive support to people of all ages, abilities and levels of ambition. Over the years, both Bournemouth and Ferndown have enjoyed being two of the top clubs in Dorset with county champions and record holders. Swim Bournmouth has national recognition for achieving National Age Group and Senior Top 8 rankings. Swimmers have continued on to represent Great Britain in both Junior and Senior Internationals. To use quality coaching, facilities and methods to develop swimmers who can excel at County, Regional and National level. ❤️💙Arena League Wrap Up❤️💙

Our A Team fought valiantly in an extremely high quality Final, taking 3rd by only 4 points and being only 8 points from 1st! Fortune didn't go our way to make the top 2 promotion spots but that's sport sometimes. Interestingly, the top of Division 1 is much stronger than the bottom of the Premier Division so when we do make that jump, I know we will be pushing up to the very heart of the top Division!!

Our B Team finished their Final with a strong performance, taking 5th. It's been challenging to field 2x teams this season with double the organisation required but it's been a real point of pride for the Club to be able to make this step. I hope the extra opportunity has been enjoyed by everyone who's been a part of it!

Well I’m a bit late to the party as usual 🤣 but WOW what a weekend we had at our very own L2!!
We welcomed swimmers from over 20 clubs to compete alongside us and it was a busy, fast paced and long weekend.
Our volunteers were outstanding, we couldn’t have done it without you all ❤️💙
The coaches have produced strong squads of swimmers who, let’s get down to it, produced fabulous results following their months of hard work. Drum roll 🥁please …

❤️💙 Crete Training Camp💙❤️
We’ve been home a week today, where has that time gone!?!?
Last week we were in 30 degree blue skies…….☀️🕶️ but there was no resting!
The team swam brilliantly, working hard in the pool twice a day and in the gym. The sporting facilities at the resort really are second to none.
“Downtime” was spent in the wonderful resort with 115 swimming pools, water park, stunning beach and yummy restaurants.
