On behalf of all the members of Bearwood Group. We'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe, peaceful 2023!
All Members: I hate to have to do this, but: we have had people using our page to "promote/spam" non model railroad items or things not applicable to the Bearwood Group.
This is unacceptable!
If anyone "promotes/spams" non model railroad things on here (without Admin's permission) they will receive an instant & perminant ban!
Folks: As agreed in the August meeting. To facilitate the speedy arrival of the new boards every other meeting will now be a working meet, where no layouts will be set up.

WOW!
Our first meeting went off brilliantly.
The main layout worked after nearly 18 months lack of use.
Our next meeting will be Saturday 9th October.
Yes we are back!!!
On Saturday 11th September Bearwoods Group will restart our meetings!
However, please read the following from the Chairman:
We are reopening the group at 0 8.30 on Saturday 11th September.
The following will now apply:
a. There is a numbers restriction of 60 on the main hall, which is not likely to affect our group.
b. Masks are no longer required by law, but are actively encouraged both by the Centre, and in view of our age profile by ourselves.
c. Catering. The permitted number in the lounge is 22. This will be strictly adhered to, and with a good turnout we will need two shifts for lunch.
Our catering service is to be restricted to one person only, so please be tolerant as there are likely to be delays.
Fish and chips are not likely to be available as Robinson's is now only opening at lunchtime on Friday at present. I have spoken to Mrs Robinson and she has promised to update me before 4th September. In essence it seems to be a staffing issue. So there is hope.
Alternative catering suggestions are to purchase at the Bearwood Co-op or to bring your own food and drink.
It seems appropriate that all attendees sign in on arrival and provide contact details.
