The Renovation of The Piccadilly Ballroom

In the Summer of 2016, it was announced that a new owner had bought the Piccadilly Hotel, and was keen to demolish the Ballroom to make way for more accommodation.

Local Professional dance champions, Andrey Sirbu & Alexandra Hixson, heard the news and approached the new owners with a plea (and a plan!) to renovate the Ballroom and keep it running as the beautiful dance space it had always been.

In January 2017, after lots of negotiations and hard work, it was announced that The Piccadilly Ballroom, would continue and be run by Andrey & Alexandra.

The Ballroom has gone from strength to strength, with many local dance teachers and hosts making the most of the beautiful sprung floor and setting. Andrey & Alexandra have re-introduced the Dancing Holidays that the Piccadilly was famous for, using the newly refurbished accommodation upstairs in the hotel.
