You don't realize how important this day is for a child.
Exams are to keep them going - yes
But there is a deeper process bringing much more for life
Being tested under pressure
Struggle but succeeded
Accomplish and grow
Build confidence
See progress
Acknowledge
Enjoy the process

Oyama Bournemouth at the English Open 2026 π₯π¬π§
Last Saturday, our Oyama Bournemouth team has competed at the English Open Kyokushinkai Tournament having great results placing all athletes on the 3rd place π
We had four athletes representing our dojo:
Manvit Pai in U10 -30kg category
Nathan Klima in U10 -35kg category
Wiktor Piasecki in Cadets -74kg category
Lena Piasecka in U14 -55kg category
Lena won amazingly, showing off the power of her low kicks against tough opponents in the finals, taking 3rd place.
Nathan won and lost one fight with the winner of his category after a decision in the second round, showing great character and winning the next two fights by points, scoring technical mawashi geri jodan and showing great skills, putting himself on the 3rd place.
Wiktor had his first attempt in the Cadets category, struggling in his fights against tough opponents. Considering his recent recovery from the respiratory infection, he attempted his fights with courage and ended up in the 3rd place.
Manvit, as our youngest athlete, won two out of four fights, showing great skills and spirit while struggling with bigger opponents as a 23kg spirited karateka in his -30kg category.
There were also parents supporting their children in the competition and cheering for the whole team, including Sensei Kamil, who was coaching that day.
Oyama Bournemouth brings home 4 trophies with four athletes who gained lots of kumite experience that they will be able to share in the dojo.
Well done team!
