Just casually dropping body fat without any drama. How? Because I know how. .. when you know how, there’s no need to worry yourself about it. Just hit the numbers, hit the gym (weights) and keep moving. No drama, just results.

So I’m gonna check in with you guys each week like my clients check in with me. This is my first week on my mini cut.
A decent change just in one week. Definition showing already. I’m relaxed. Doesn’t look as sexy, but hey - like I say, this process isn’t sexy.
You see my weight actually goes up on one of the days and then there was a BIG drop today. Transforming your physique is not a linear process, it wobbles up and down daily. The trick is to focus on the bigger picture which will become clear over the following weeks. And I actually don’t want to lose much scale weight, the number is merely a reference point it means NOTHING, it’s all about dropping the fat.
As you can see I missed a few days of tracking and I didn’t log all my meals. I did go a little too low this week my goal was 3000 cals (down from 3800 cals - aprox a 20% reduction) but I was bang on with my 😁 .. also look at my carbs.. any one that tells you, you HAVE to cut out carbs to lose fat is a t**t! It’s more nuanced then that.
The plan is go at this quite fast to “tidy” things up, before my next HUGE growth push over the winter. I want to see how many weeks it takes to lean down to striated legs in this cut and then we go at it again. Then I know visually how far I can push body fat levels in the next growth phase.
I added a tiny amount of cardio on my rest day. Did 15 minutes steady state broken up into 5 minute blocks in the day as I was sat a desk that day. I’ve also added a “conditioning day” on my other rest day, for my cardiovascular health markers. After having the rona I’m making sure I stay on top of my CV health - not to burn fat, but to get fit. That’s it for cardio for the moment I’m keeping that in my back pocket!
Fat loss is so freakin’ simple when you know what works for you. I’ve spent years learning the hard way, but it doesn’t have to be hard for you my digital friend.

from when I was an aspiring and skinny as a rake (age 20ish) to now (twice as old) where I’m finally starting to build the body I wanna see in the mirror. (Current shot from a leg day, so no arm pump or flexing going on at all 😜💪)
I often think if I began training, eating, recovering the way I do now back then just how different things would be for this bod of mine.
One of the driving forces behind why I do what I do now is to help folks get the f*ck on with the stuff that works and not spend years of fannying about, waisting time, effort and money with naff all to show for it.

If you wanna look sexy, be prepared to look ugly in the process. There are way too many posts on insta of sexy mo fo’s looking sexy while doing half arsed reps.
This is my last rep on a quad focused leg press. The rep number is arbitrary, the weight also doesn’t matter to you (but my ego would like you know they are 25kg plates not 20kg and this 45 degree press is heavy as is 😜).
What actually matters is that I was recruiting as many muscle fibres as possible to make that thing move. That I was was digging in deeper than last time and giving my body a reason to grow muscle.
Forget how look in the gym, and focus on how you are giving your body the stimulus it needs to see the results you wanna see.
Building muscle is simple, but it’s not sexy.
