Tappy Toes South West Dorset and Blandford

Tappy Toes Dorset's owner, Gemma Olding, is a dance teacher and choreographer who, having been fully trained in the Netmums award-winning Tappy Toes syllabus, specialises in dance classes for pre-school/reception age children. Using a combination of passion and creative enthusiasm for dance, fun props and music and songs that children adore, Tappy Toes classes are the perfect introduction to dance, movement and musicality for both boys and girls. Gemma began her dance training in Wimborne where she then became a junior associate with the Royal Ballet, trained and performed with Ballet Creations under the wonderful guidance of Richard Slaughter and Ursula Hageli who were both artists with the Royal Ballet and prolific teachers in their own right and went on to graduate from Poole and Bournemouth College with a triple distinction in contemporary dance and choreography. She worked as part of Mainstage Performing Arts creative team in Wimborne for 5 years where she oversaw the running of 'Mini Mainstage' and taught ballet, modern and musical theatre. Following the birth of her daughter in July 2014, Gemma decided she wanted to concentrate on her successful Tappy Toes classes and continue to provide nurseries with fun and unique music and movement sessions which have proven to be fantastic extra curricular activities in several nurseries in the Poole, Bournemouth and Blandford area.
