5XI are CHAMPIONS! The 5XI were able to reach the Summit of Hampshire Cricket League Division 6A this summer and secure the league title! A wonderful year for the 5S, with many contributors throughout including Tom Breeze with 515 runs at 46.8 and with the ball, u13 Stan Dearing with 15 poles at a smidge over 16. Credit must also go to Captain Goodridge who led the troops with his unique style of man management! Go the 5s! 🖤 💛 🦁

Go Well Ben!

OIGCC is very excited to announce the signing of Ben Rogers as an overseas player ahead of the 2026/27 season!
Ben is a 21-year-old English wicket keeper and top order batter currently playing for Bournemouth Cricket Club in the Southern Premier League and Dorset Cricket in the NCCA Competition. Ben has spent the last three Northern Hemisphere winters playing cricket in Australia with Albion Park (NSW) and East Keilor (VIC), and was awarded champion player for East Keilor in the 24/25 and 25/26 seasons. He has also earned representative honours with South Coast District and Greater Illawarra Zone and has represented England at the 2024 Last Man Stands World Cup in Kenya. He will be arriving with OIGCC off the back a further LMS England World Cup appearance scheduled in Malaysia in October 2026. (Keep an eye out for further posts providing details on how to see him live in action at the tournament! 👀)
Talking about coming to Old Ivanhoe, Ben said “Looks like a lovely club, can’t wait to get involved. Gonna be a great season.”
We are buzzing to get Ben down to Chelsworth!
