Photos taken Saturday, 7 days into the 6 weeks shred. I haven’t weighed myself yet but I’m hoping I’ve dropped 2-3kg.

I had a slip up Saturday night and had more than just a few gins, we’re all human and all of that 😉🤣 I will compensate by adding in a bit extra cardio for the next couple of days.

It’s important to figure out your weaknesses, be honest with yourself and work on them. I’m lacking a bit in self discipline but I’ve addressed it and it’s a work in progress.

If you want your life to improve, you have to improve yourself.

Are you doing anything to help yourself grow? Training your mind daily is just as important, if not more important than training your body.

Self help/educational audiobooks and knowledge podcasts are good for those that are trying to improve themselves and learn but don’t have much spare time.

Try to listen to an audiobook on your commute to work or get up an hour earlier in the mornings and listen whilst you go for a walk. This way you can exercise your mind and body at the same time.

Tips on learning from books, audiobooks and podcasts:

- Don’t rush, take your time to fully understand the content.

- If you find something interesting or useful, write down the page number or chapter and come back to it.

- At the end of each chapter make note of 3 things that you’ve learned and then try to teach it to someone else (this could be a friend, colleague, partner). The best way to learn something is to teach someone else.

Excuse or Execute!

Pre workout fuel after a 12 hour shift - Keeping up with training and getting good quality nutrition whilst working away can be hard if you don’t have a plan.

CrossFit can really help - the workouts are tough, you have others there to help push you through and there are CrossFit gyms in most towns and cities all over the UK.

Keep clear of fast food restaurants and instead go to a supermarket and stock up on nutrient dense food.

After years of procrastinating I have finally decided to put everything into starting my own health, fitness and mindset business.
I have always been passionate about this but I’ve never had the confidence to start until now.

8 weeks ago was over 18 stone as I hadn’t looked after my health or trained for more than a few weeks for a year and a half. I was depressed and had no direction but then something just clicked, I started to work on self discipline and self respect and threw myself into training.

My outlook on life has been completely transformed and it’s all down to mindset and believing in yourself no matter what obstacles you face.

I have focused on building muscle and not so much on weight loss but still I have gone from 18 and a half stone down to just over 17.
The next six weeks I am going to be totally focused on weight loss and retaining as much muscle mass as I possibly can, I will do this by being in a calorie deficit while keeping my protein high and incorporating a carb cycle diet.
