A bit late writing again this morning, not sure why but maybe some Guinness last night and an early competition start is to blame.

Well I got through to the quarter finals and have now been knocked out. Never mind team competition to come - Go Team Honey Badgers (The most fantastic throwers in the Irish Chapter)!

A little late in writing today but this weekend we are in Galway in Ireland taking part in the Irish Double Bit Axe Throwing Competition 2019 hosted by the guys at Tam O’Hawks.

A lot of countries represented again this year from Wales, Scotland, Poland, Germany and of course Ireland.

The standard is good so far in the qualifiers and the location is picturesque with some of the local sites featuring in the John Wayne film ‘The Quiet Man’. What more could you ask for??

I’ll post more when I can.

Come along and join in the fun today. We are here all day. So come and Have a go axe throwing 🎯

So the competition is now over and what a week it has been. Thank you to Daniel Hedberg and all of the other Swedish organisers for putting on a Great World Double Bit Championships!

I didn’t throw as well as I would have liked but in the end who cares it was a blast. Congratulations to the winners from Sweden and to Enno Hoffman from the Asgard Throwers who took the junior title - a sure fire world champion in the future.

Quiet day today touring before flying home tomorrow. A few more photos for you to peruse and probably more to post once I sort through the others at home.

Thank you all and see you in Canada in 2 years time!
