We have a selection of coaching courses through June. Also private spots available for booking alongside the courses offered.
Don’t forget we also have upgrade coaching sessions on Thursday and Friday evenings (6:15-7:45pm)

Trail update - both Blue 6 and Bikini Line at Clubhouse are closed.

These segments of trails are in need of some maintenance and TLC so please respect the tape and signs and don't ride these please! This is for yours and our trail crew's safety.

We will update once they are open again but are expecting this to be towards the end of next week at the earliest.

Due to the recent increase in litter, Bikini will benefit from a rest of being a rubbish pit! Please remember to take home with you what you bring in to the forest otherwise the land owners may take action.

Our summer timetable is now live! The timings provided are when Open Sessions will now be run*. We are also offering our coaching Upgrade offerings again on Thursday and Friday evenings.

A huge thank you and shout-out to all the women who attended the Summit session we ran for them on Wednesday evening! We've said it before and we'll continue to shout about how incredible our women's community is here at Swinley.

It was truly an inspiration watching friendships form, jumps cleared & rolled, and being within an inclusive, supportive and friendly group. You're all superstars!

Huge thanks to ambassadors , & leading riders through the various line choices and being so welcoming to all. Shout out to & for helping spread the message the session was on.

We have coaching lined up every weekend through May;
Trail progression course - up your general riding skills (cornering, pumping, absorbing, etc)
Drops course - tick off all sizes of drops in the summit learning multiple techniques.
Further air course - for those that can jump but looking to improve technique, consistency and go bigger.
Starting next Saturday 11th May with trail progression…weather is looking great too 🌞.

A huuuuuge thank you to this who came along to our Earth Day social ride last night. Thankfully the dark clouds didn't amount to rain!

A top effort was had by all and we collected four bin bags of trash and single use plastics we found within the trail network. We truly appreciate the effort and enthusiasm shown looking after our beautiful forest whilst enjoying a ride. Keep your eyes peeled for more of these rides coming soon!

As part of our commitment to being a Community Hub we are running a social ride on Monday 22nd April that will involve tidying up our fabulous network. Meet at the Hub for 6:15pm, riding off at 6:30pm.

Due to the high gusting winds and rain forecast for tomorrow, we will be closed operationally tomorrow, Thursday 28th March. Our sincere apologies for any disappointment - this does impact our bike hire, coaching and Summit sessions.

Trail update…..

Deerstalker trail (left in the picture) is now re open. Our trail crew have rectified the wet rut in the mid section now.

Red 9 (old red 15) has been given some love BUT needs time to dry and harden before we can open it up again. Will have its flow reinstated along the top but keeping it’s more natural feel along the bottom half, will be super fun. PLEASE KEEP OFF UNTIL TAPES REMOVED, any tyre tracks across it now will mean having to re work there and delay opening by days and days.

Baby maker remains closed, soft patches need rectifying. Blue 7 the same. Red 6 still closed due to forestry works ongoing.

Rest of the trail network starting to dry out a bit so enjoy and get out there and ride 🤘🏻

Easter school holidays fast approaching…We have youth MTB club and academy groups scheduled every day from 1-12th April. Why not book your kids on and get them outdoors having fun and improving their riding skills.

We are fortunate to have an incredible community based within the forest here, and part of that is made up of so many amazing women. From our 3 fabulous ambassadors and to all the ladies who choose to ride with us, we appreciate you.

Our next women's social ride is on Sunday 24th March - get signed up and we look forward to seeing you there.

Saturday 9th & 23rd - trail progression
Friday 15th - core skills & confidence and Friday jump session.
Sunday 17th - further air course

Trail network update: Red 9 is closed for planned maintenance.

This work has been on the cards for awhile so please respect the closure tape and signs - we have machinery in for this work so please don't put our trail builders at risk.

We'll update you on progress as the reopening will be entirely dependent on the weather.
The diversion takes you straight to Clubhouse so enjoy the shortcut!

On the whole we're working hard to get the trail network to a prime condition ready for those longer, warmer, drier days and evenings. See you out there!

Trail closures update:
Babymaker and deerstalker are shut off for now due to damage from recent weather creating very waterlogged sections resulting in deep pitting. Will be open once it dries up.
Red 6 continues to be closed due to ongoing forest works within that compartment of the forest.
Thank you all for your understanding - keep on shredding!

Storm Isha is moving across the UK in the coming days and wind is building. Gusts are strong and we have made the decision based on safety of our customers to close hire and the summit until the winds pass.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience to our customers but Mother Nature is here to be respected and safety for you is our priority!

If you have your own bike and want to ride then that is at your discretion but we recommend not to head to the forest to ride over the next couple of days!

Trail update:
Bikini line closed top to bottom for some tlc this week. By end of the week it will be open, along with Babymaker.

The festive season is upon us, and so the team are having a little break. We are closed from Saturday 23rd December through to and including Tuesday 26th December, and then again from Sunday 31st December to Monday 1st January.

We are fully operational around those dates so we'd love to see you here hiring bikes, trying out the Summit, grabbing some coaching or even getting your bike checked over by one of our skilled mechanics.

This is a comprehensive service where the bike is stripped down to the frame, thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt with fresh cables fitted and any other parts as needed.

It's fair to say, working here is pretty bloody awesome - just look at our forest office!

Our team consists of front-of-house staff, mechanics, trail builders and coaches. For all of our hard work for you, our customers and community, every now and then we take a moment (or morning!) to ride together and enjoy the beauty of the forest.
