Winter Handicap Doubles Tournament
5 December 2024 - 22 March 2025

The Winter Handicap Doubles Tournament will comprise men’s doubles, ladies’ doubles and mixed doubles. We'll do our best to allocate handicaps relative to the strengths of each pair to give each pair an equal chance of winning so the tournament should be a lot of fun.

Entries open to peak time members or a junior with senior status.
Entry fee £5 per person, per event.

Christmas Wreath Making Workshop
Saturday 7 December 2024 at 4pm in the clubhouse.

The Christmas Wreath Making Workshop costs £15 and will include a mulled wine or hot chocolate and mince pies during the event. Instruction on how to make your wreath will be given and all materials provided, eg wreath ring, moss, wire, greenery (pine, ivy, holly and selection of others), dried oranges, lotus flowers, cinnamon sticks, pine cones and ribbon for a bow.

You also get to take home the finished wreath!

Initially, sign up is for BLTC members, then friends and family after 20 November 2024 if spaces left. Due to the type of event, numbers are capped at 12 people maximum.

If you have some secateurs or strong scissors then please bring them along but there will be some provided to share.

Quiz Night hosted by Kevin
Thursday 28 November 2024, 7pm

This event is free to members and guests. Drinks and snacks can be purchased from the Bar on the night.
Details will be sent out shortly via email and a poster put on the noticeboard regarding access the sign up sheet.

Our social calendar is ramping up in the run up to Xmas. Look out for emails and details on the notice board for up and coming events including Quiz Night, a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop, our Christmas Meal and the Winter Handicap Doubles Tournament.

The Sun may set early now but at Bracknell Lawn Tennis Club we have modern LED floodlighting allowing play until late into the evening. Our new Artificial Clay courts make for a safe surface to play on in all weather conditions, allowing players at Bracknell to enjoy their tennis throughout the year. This Monday saw our junior coaching sessions in the afternoon followed by Adult Beginner Coaching and then Intermediate Drills on court 5. On courts 1-4 we had a full turnout of 16 Ladies enjoying the Ladies match practice night. It's lovely to be able to get out of the house and enjoy playing some tennis.

Join us for food and fireworks this Sunday, 3 November 2024 from 6.30pm. We'll be able to view the fireworks at the Rugby Club from the Balconies at BLTC. There'll be beef or veggie chilli with jacket potatoes, french bread and cheese, all for just £7 per person.
