What glorious weather we had for our end-of-season celebration / presentation day today! ☀️ It was a brilliant day and a lovely opportunity to take time and look back on our first season as a new team, thank our wonderful coaches, linesmen and parent helpers, and celebrate each and every one of our players.

Our ‘sister’ team, the U17 Hornets are having trials for a couple of extra players this coming Saturday if anyone is interested….contact Nicola Fletcher for more details 👍🏻

A huge well done to the Whitegrove & Warfield Hornets who made it to the U16s plate final today. The Hornets may have been defeated in the end, but getting into the final is no mean feat and those boys battled hard. A big well done to you all, and your coaches, from the U16 Wasps. It was a joy to come and watch you play. 👏 👏

2nd May and that’s our last game of the season done ✔️ What a fantastic year it’s been for our newly formed team and the fantastic coaches. At the start of this year, I don’t think anyone would have imagined that we would end up 4th in our division, but we jolly well have! We have the most amazing players, coaches, and parents. We truly are one big football family 🥰⚽️

Time now for a few weeks off to give the coaches a break and for the boys to focus on their GCSEs! We have our end of season presentation on 23rd May, a few friendlies lined up over the summer and we will resume training after the break, so watch this space for more team news then! 😃

Today we had an early kick off at home against Westwood Wanderers - a big, physical team who we have struggled to beat in the past - but today our boys rose to the challenge and came away with a very well deserved 4-1 win! ⚽️ 🥅 👏 👏

A gorgeous day ☀️ and a wonderful 3-0 win at home against Whiteknights. ⚽️ The boys had lost to Whiteknights in their away game a few weeks ago but today they looked like a different team! The boys were well composed, passed sensibly, positioned themselves well, and worked jolly hard too! A fantastic game for our mass of supporters (including several grandparents today 😄) to watch 👀 👏 👏

We had a 0900 kick off away to Wokingham Sumas today. The weather was beautiful ☀️ and the boys played their hearts out to come away with a 0-0 draw to an opposition team who are sitting higher than us in the table and we lost to at the start of the season. ⚽️ A great game to watch and a fair result ⚖️

I think that’s the first time this year that one player has taken both awards, so that’s very well done 👏 👏

Two more matches to go until the season ends and our boys embark on their GCSE exams 🥴

We may have had the only rain of the day for our match this morning but that didn’t dampen the spirits. After an early start to get over to Caversham and a competitive game the Wasps came away with a very well deserved 2-0 win. 👏 👏 Rob and Corbin were our two goal scorers today 🥅.
