We are proud to announce that Low Moor Lakers are Division One Champions of the West Yorkshire Rounders League — for the third time💙🤍
This has genuinely been one of our toughest seasons yet. The competition in Division 1 has been absolutely fantastic, pushing us to raise our game week after week. We’ve battled through 32 degree heat, torrential rain, a team forfeit, and matches decided by the tiniest of margins — winning by half a rounder, losing by half a rounder — every scenario you can imagine, we’ve lived it this season!!
But the heart of this team is grit. When it came down to the final game — a true top‑of‑the‑table showdown — the Lakers dug deeper than ever. Every player stepped up, every decision mattered, and the determination on that pitch showed exactly why this team has now claimed the title three years out of four in Division 1.
A huge heartfelt thank you to our sponsors:
Keldlands Farm Cottages Watsons Building Services
Your support keeps us equipped, prepared and confident. You’ve backed us through every high‑pressure moment, and we’re incredibly grateful.
We also want to give a huge thank you to Bankfoot Cricket Club for their hospitality all season. Having such a welcoming, well‑kept home ground makes a massive difference — not just for the players, but for the atmosphere.
The turnout for the final game was unbelievable; seeing so many supporters lining the boundary reminded us how special this community truly is. Thank you to our supporters that have been there for every up and down this season, have travelled the country with us and given their support when we've needed it most!
This season has tested us, shaped us and brought out the best in us.
Champions again — and every bit of it earned 💙🤍
UP THE LAKERS!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
