Melbourne Raceway Round from this weekend.

The latest round at Melbourne Raceway was one to remember, both on and off the track.

The weekend started with helping the Straightliners crew on Friday and Saturday with preparations for the Street Weekend class. It was great to be involved behind the scenes and help get everything ready for race day.

Sunday saw the focus shift back to racing. After some strong runs throughout the day, I progressed through the rounds and found myself lined up against William in the semi-finals. Knowing it would be a close race, I set my dial-in based on a new personal best. Unfortunately, William got the better of me and took the win. He then went on to face Jet in the final, where he secured the overall victory. Congratulations to William on a great performance.

As always, the junior racers put on an incredible show and continue to be one of the highlights of every event. Their racing is always exciting to watch and the future of the sport is looking bright.

Although my race day ended in the semi-finals, the best was yet to come. Following the finals, I was able to complete several test passes and my bike was performing brilliantly. With each run, i continued to improve and set new personal bests.

Going into the weekend, one of my major goals for the season was to break into the 9-second zone. After several strong passes, everything finally came together and I achieved a 9.97-second run.

Reaching the 9s has been a target of mine for a long time, and to accomplish it this season is an incredible feeling. I couldn't be happier with the progress we've made and it gives us plenty of confidence heading into the next round.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who supports me throughout the season, including my family, friends, crew, sponsors and fellow racers. Your encouragement and support make achievements like this possible, and I am grateful for every one of you.

Elvington Airfield "Mini" Event

A brilliant day of demo runs today.

My Mini Top Fuel Drag Bike was out for several runs over the 1/4 mile, using the day to dial things in and keep building confidence in the setup.

Conditions on the runway were good and the bike responded well.

The highlight of the day came with a new personal best terminal speed of 77mph over the quarter mile, the fastest the bike has achieved so far.

Each pass showed steady improvement, with the bike pulling cleanly and feeling stronger run after run.

A lot was learned from the day with plenty of positives to take away, and there’s clearly more speed still left in it.

Overall, a successful day. πŸ’ͺ

Solway Raceway update 🏁

This weekend was my first visit to Solway Raceway, and with it being a 1/4 mile setup instead of the usual 1/8 mile, it was always going to be a bit different.

Saturday was all about learning the track and getting to grips with the line. Grip was tricky early on, but once I settled in it was great fun launching the bike and getting it moving around off the start πŸ˜€ Unfortunately the day took a turn in the afternoon when I snapped my clutch cable. Thankfully Mr C came to the rescue with a spare, and with help from a few others I was quickly back out for the remaining runs β€” much appreciated by everyone who helped out.

Sunday brought another challenge with a very strong headwind that scrubbed a few mph from the top end, but the bike was running well and consistency paid off throughout the day.

Overall, Solway was a cracking venue and a completely different experience from the normal rounds, but one I thoroughly enjoyed. To top the weekend off, I came away with the win and maximum points towards the Straightliners Championship πŸ†

Big thank you to all my sponsors for the continued support β€” it really does make weekends like this possible. Also thanks again to everyone who helped keep me running throughout the weekend.

Race Report – Melbourne Raceway Round 2

Round 2 at Melbourne Raceway was a tough weekend for us. From the first pass we were struggling to get grip off the line, with the tyres continuing to spin well past the 60ft, which made it hard to put a clean run together. We worked through different changes across the weekend but just couldn’t quite find the consistency we needed.

Despite the challenges, we still managed to make it through to the quarter finals on Sunday where I came up against William. It was an extremely close race from start to finish, but William managed to edge ahead and take the win. Massive congratulations to him on taking out the round win β€” very well deserved.

A big thank you to everyone who helps and supports me each race weekend, and a huge thank you to all my sponsors for their continued support throughout the season. It truly means a lot to have such great people backing me every round.

Also well done to all the juniors competing this weekend. The competition is always tough no matter who you line up against, and it makes for some great racing.

We’ll keep working on the setup, learn from the weekend, and come back stronger for the next round.
