👏 A Fantastic Fundraising Effort
A special mention to Stef Buckley, who raised £220 through raffle ticket sales at the Snooty Fox, Peter Ousey, who raised £870 through the 18th Hole Challenge, and Ollie Spencer, who raised a further £200 selling football cards on the day.

Thank you also to the many golfers who generously donated their prize money back to charity.

Branshaw had a visit from a great nephew of our ex professional Mr Herbert Jolly.

Mark & his wife Hilary shared memories and information about ‘Bert’ with the Secretary Steven Smith. This was the first time they had visited the area where Bert was professional at Branshaw for 23 years.

Steven presented Mark with a photo of Bert who played in the first ever Ryder cup 99 years ago in 1927. Mark & Hilary played the course and before and after the round met with members to talk about Bert. Both, the Bert Jolly trophy & Edith Jolly trophy are almost 50 years old and are still played for every year. Mark took photos of both trophies. Mark said he thanked Branshaw GC for the great hospitality and kindness and will stay in touch, hopefully with more information and knowledge that he finds.

Our Charity Race Night due to take place this Friday has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The event will be rescheduled for later in the year.
