The inaugural playing of the Pat Curran Mixed Trophy. Pat was a member and eventually a honorary member at Branshaw for over 60 years until her passing a few years ago. Pat would have loved everybody playing for a competition in her name and Mick would like to thank everyone who took part.
Winners this year were Carol & Bob Wellwood.

Michael, son of Pat is pictured with the trophy. Next year the event will go again and hopefully we can find a way to consolidate or even improve on this year.

Congratulations to all our finalists who competed over an impressive 36 holes, with 18 holes played in the morning before returning for the afternoon matches.

The weather certainly gave us a day of two halves, with rain in the morning making way for some glorious sunshine later on. ☀️

All the matches were fiercely contested and played in great spirit. Well done to everyone who made it to Finals Day, and a special congratulations to this year’s winners! ⛳️

A fantastic day for the club and a great way to round off the competition season.

Branshaw GC had a double triumph in the final of the Lawrence Batley seniors this year played at Halifax GC last week. Steve Busfield won the individual title beating a player from Hanging Heaton 4/3. The team beat Crow Nest GC securing the win on the 3rd play off hole.

Captain Duncan Bairstow would like to thank all players who have represented BGC this year and said his most important decisions had been when picking players for the play offs as Branshaw won their Quarter final & Semi finals in similar fashion. A great season and looking forward to competing in the A division next year.
