Today marks 79 years since , the end of the 2nd World War in Europe.

The Bradford Memories Cafe remembered the event by going to the Headley Golf Club VE Day lunch club with special guest singer Sadie.

It gives me great pleasure to inform everyone Bradford Memories Cafe - Yorkshire Memories which also encompasses Guiseley Memories Cafe has been nominated for a King's Volunteer Award.

At a get together recently we have been updated that our nomination has successfully been put through to the second stage, which is now at the national level.

That body will now make recommendations to King Charles who will announce which groups will receive the Award.

The Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire described the Award as being considered to be the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary groups 🥇

Tomorrow is the final day to vote for Mary in the category Volunteer of the Year at the Yorkshire Choice Awards.
