West Yorkshire Junior Rounders Tournament for girls age 9-15 years.

Tonight Fire Balls welcomed Silsden Superstars to our home ground at Hanson School for our very first friendly!

What a great evening of rounders and a show of talented young players!

Proud of all our players for great teamwork and tight fielding (with only 8 fielders). For a newly formed team who have never played together before the communication and teamwork was outstanding.

Shout out to Summer who captained well tonight. Lexi, Kaydi & Scarlett made a fabulous trio around 2nd post and mid field! Poppy and Summer did a great job as backstop for one innings each. Lily and Martha were kept busy by the batters hittting out into the field, but made good chains back to 4th post. Alessandra stepped in as bowler and kept accurate, consistent bowls coming the whole game. Lexi & Kaydi also deserve a special mention for their top contribution to the batting scores too ⚾️

Final Scores were:
Silsden Superstars 12
Fire balls 3.5

Silsden picked Lexi as their Player of the Match which was well deserved for fielding on 2nd post and also being our top scoring batter with 2.5 rounders ⚾️

Our own Player of the Match went to Alessandra for being a cool, calm and collected bowler 🏆
