What do we do in Yin?
We hold low to the ground poses for around 5 minutes to let everything relax so we can really work the connective tissues. So good for the joints and added bonus, we feel calm and oh so zen at the end of it π

Let's ease back into the new year π₯°
Yin is back on tomorrow for an hour of peace, stillness and quiet.
We hold our yin poses for 5 minutes to allow everything to relax and soften. What a lovely way to enter the weekend π

My little yoga buddy has been home with me all week with chicken pox! So I'm looking forward to a lovely, quiet, relaxing hour of Yin tomorrow at 6pm.

Savasana! Also known as co**se pose.
Every pose we do in class leads up to this, final relaxation. We lie down, stay still, allow mind and body to reeeeeeelax.
And this can be a LOT harder than it sounds.
Life is generally chaotic, busy and frantic so how often do we just stop and not do anything? And I mean, really stop. Not scrolling through your phone, not making to do lists, not planning the next thing you'll be doing.
In a yoga class we calm and slow the mind by focusing on our poses and breath. By the time we get to savasana, hopefully we are in a place where we can stop βοΈ.
The first time I ever taught a yoga class I told my yogis I was giving them a little gift and this was savasana π₯°.
You might love it! Or you might find it difficult. But either way, give yourself permission to slow down and rest
Good morning my Yogis π.
I have just extended everyone's block booking by 6 weeks to account for my time off sick, plus a few weeks for some Christmas downtime.
I am hoping to get back on the mat with you on Friday, the antibiotics and steroids are kicking in but not as quickly as I'd hoped π€. Bit frustrating to say the least.
I miss you all lots and appreciate how patient and kind everyone has been.
