Three teams in action this week, starting on Saturday as our open age travel to table toppers Sharlston Rovers.

On Sunday, our under 6s are home to Moldgreen and our under 8s travel the short distance to Wyke for the last round of this block of fixtures.

📣 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃!

Due to a change in circumstances, our Open Age team is looking for a new 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 to work alongside Head Coach 𝐓𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐮𝐟𝐟.

We're looking for someone who either:

🏉 Has extensive rugby league knowledge through playing experience and is willing to develop their coaching skills through courses and mentoring from our current coaching staff, or

🏉 Already has experience coaching at Open Age level.

The successful candidate will assist with training sessions and match days, while also taking responsibility for occasional second-team fixtures. We're looking for a confident individual who is comfortable leading players and helping drive standards both on and off the field.

💪 A passion for developing players and contributing to a positive team environment is essential.

Our club was proudly represented at the Bradford Bulls Takeover Day, and our junior section did us proud from start to finish. Players from our Tots, U6s, U8s, U10s and U15 girls all took part in the Bullman's Parade, proudly waving the flags for both Wibsey ARLFC and Bradford Bulls.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported the event – your generosity and community spirit mean so much to us, we raised a massive £712.46!!! 🫶

Our under 15 girls travelled over to Warrington to take on a very talented Culcheth in our first proper match and the girls did us very proud again! Massive steps forward again in our progress and they will continue to get even better over the coming weeks and months.

Thank you to Culcheth Eagles Girls RL for your hospitality, you made us feel welcome from the outset, helping us in the game, genuinely happy for us when we did things well, your girls are an absolute credit to your club and were brilliant throughout. See you for the return fixture in July!

Our open age travel over to York Barbarians for a tough away trip but we are boosted by the return of Matty Belcher, Harvey Crossley, Keenene Daley, Callum Knight, Lochlan Mcpherson, Josh Mitchell & Callam Sunter. There is also a debut for Macauley Hollinger, who makes his first appearance after re-teaming up with Duffy.

We are delighted to announce Kelly Darragh as a new coach in our junior set up!

Kelly joins up with Marc Clarke in the Under 8s and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the women’s game, playing for Bradford & Halifax Panthers to name just a few.
