Consistent repetition through individual and small group work is one of the biggest factors in player development.

Matches are brilliant — players love them, parents enjoy watching, and they’re important for learning decision making, movement and game understanding.

When players finish training with a game for the last 15 minutes, it’s great to see them trying to put into practice what they’ve been learning technically throughout the session. But realistically, how many touches do they actually get in those 15 minutes?

Maybe around 30 touches if they’re lucky.
Perhaps 15 of those are passes, with the rest being dribbles or running with the ball.

In Sunday matches, the average player in 5v5 or 7v7 football may only have around 25–30 touches during the game — and that’s usually one of the more dominant players.

In 9v9 and 11v11 football, it’s often even less.

That’s why individual practice and small group sessions are so important. This is where players can really increase their repetition levels and “catch up” on touches throughout the week.

In a focused 45-minute technical session working in small groups, players can easily achieve anywhere between 500–1000 touches depending on their age, intensity and ability level.

Even working alone at home can give a player hundreds, sometimes thousands, of quality touches in a short period of time.

Quite simply, players improve through repetition.
The more quality touches they get on the ball, the more comfortable, confident and technically secure they become.

Developing All-Round Players

At our sessions , We aim to develop complete footballers by focusing on four key areas:

Technique

Players are encouraged to be confident on the ball. We develop:
• First touch and ball control
• Passing and receiving under pressure
• Dribbling, turning, and finishing
Strong technical ability gives players the tools to express themselves in games.

Speed

Speed is more than just running fast. We work on:
• Acceleration and quick reactions
• Change of direction and agility
• Speed of thought and decision-making
This allows players to play at a higher tempo and cope with game demands.

Athleticism

We help players build strong physical foundations by improving:
• Balance and coordination
• Strength appropriate to age and stage
• Stamina and movement efficiency
Athletic development supports performance while reducing injury risk.

Game Understanding

Football intelligence is vital. Players learn:
• Positional awareness and roles
• When to keep the ball, when to play forward
• How to defend, attack, and transition as a team
Understanding the game helps players make better decisions and become adaptable.

Our goal is to develop confident, intelligent, and well-rounded players who enjoy football and are prepared for the next level—whatever that may be.

Rotational patterns in football are synchronized movements in which players interchange positions to create space, unsettle the opposition’s defensive structure, or overload specific zones. These rotations involve one player moving into the area normally occupied by another, allowing the team to maintain positional balance while creating new passing options or exploiting gaps in the defense. Common examples include midfielders rotating positions during build-up play, a full-back swapping roles with an inverted midfielder, or a striker dropping into midfield as an attacking midfielder advances into the forward line.
