Race 2 didn't work out how we planned with having to take a trip down the escape road at foggies after another riders mistake! It cost many positions but fun was had and we learnt a lot which we will take to Brands Hatch in 2 weeks 😁

Today's FP2 was cancelled due to torrential rain but we got a dry(ish) FP1 posting a P23 and we're looking forward to going again in qualifying tomorrow. Check out the revised schedule 👇

We dipped out of the FP1 in wettish conditions but got a perfectly dry FP2! We're all set for a good weekends racing 👌

We finally got to ride last night after 2 weeks of preparation and stress! Great to be back riding round the mountain course, it takes my breath away. No words.

The Yamaha we have some work to do as it doesn't ride the bumps as well as we would like, has some instability and needs a gearing change BUT it's a strong engine for sure and a proven package!

The Aprilia, out of the box having NEVER ridden it, was bang on! Great job by the team 👍 Gearing change for the Aprilia and some shock length but of course the majority of time will come from the pilot as there's lots to take in.

My proper job got in the way today 😁 Still made good progress though:

✅ K-Tech DDS cartridge kit installed
✅ K-Tech 35DDS Pro shock fitted
✅ GB Racing engine protection fitted
✅ Bonamici rear sets assembled and installed
✅ Brembo Z04 pads plonked in
✅ Brembo HPK Supersport discs installed
✅ Akrapovic exhaust system installed
✅ Tamed the wiring explosion beneath the dash to find the front wheel speed plug

Which leaves brake hoses to route, chain and sprockets, fairing, switches (undecided whether to go stock) and the handlebar situation.

So after much deliberation we decided to build a Supertwin for the Manx Grand Prix! We started it with 8 days till we sail to the island, naturally 😲

Day 1 was spent stripping the bike and pulling off all the unnecessary parts ready for the huge pile of race parts to be carefully fitted. So far:

✅ OEM fairings removed
✅ OEM exhaust binned
✅ Emissions rubbish diverted and blanked
✅ ABS system blanked and OEM hoses binned
✅ Radiator emptied of coolant
✅ General wiring tidying

Another full day at it tomorrow and she should be well on her way!
