This weekend saw the 2nd XI chase down a mammoth total of 316.
Bowling first was a challenge for the boys and Farsley Cricket Club set 315 for the boys to chase.
A disappointing start found the boys 2 down for very little and man of the match Haris Butt scored a blistering 98 supported extremely well by Sid (72) and Atta (56) and the boys chased down the target in 49.2 overs.
A great chase showing the class, character and depth in the squad with the boys taking a vital 20 points keeping them at the top of the league.

Having won the toss and elected to bat, Farsley Cricket Club innings got off to a rocky start when Jer Lane struck an early blow, taking their first wicket in just the second over.
However, former Jer Lane man Kyme came to the crease and looked determined to haunt his old side. Batted beautifully alongside Shameer Malik, Kyme anchored the innings with a brilliant 79. At one stage, Farsley looked firmly in control and well-matured for a massive total of 250+.
The momentum shifted drastically thanks to a lethal bowling display from Amir Hussain, who ripped through the middle order with 3 quick wickets. From a position of absolute strength, Farsley suffered a major batting collapse. Jer Lane’s overseas star, Waseem Khan, then stepped up to wrap up the tail, ensuring the visitors couldn’t recover. Farsley were ultimately bowled all out for 219 in 47.5 overs
Chasing 220 for victory, Adal Islam and Muhammad Abbas made the conditions look incredibly easy out there,Both batsmen passed the half-century milestone, putting on a commanding partnership to take the game completely away from Farsley. While Abbas ("Abs") was eventually dismissed, the damage was already done.
Jer Lane cruised across the finish line with minimum fuss, finishing on 223/2 in 45.1 overs to seal a highly impressive, 8-wicket victory.
