Our game against BD8 FC ended up being abandoned in our favour as a BD8 player was sent off after HT and reentered the field of play and so did a group of spectators from their sideline. At the time of abandonment, Athletic were 3-1 up from some fantastic goals so after a review, points were awarded to the Athletic boys.

A game that should’ve ended very differently. Hot temperatures but the lads were arguably the more dominant side for most of the game, even with only 10 players after HT, but just fell unlucky in the final third. Clayton’s only goal scored from a rebounded penalty.

Our first fixture last weekend saw us come away with a 5-1 win against Bolton Woods. A slow start but an overall dominant performance by the end.
