A fantastic start to our Summer Cup campaign as the lads delivered an outstanding performance to secure all three points.
The heart, determination, and commitment shown by every player were second to none. We played some excellent football throughout, controlled large periods of the game, and when called upon defensively, stood strong and defended like a brick wall.

Unfortunately, the afternoon was overshadowed by injuries to two of our players. We lost Gaz Naylor in the first half with what appears to be a serious Achilles injury, and Tom Hands also suffered a knee injury in his first game back after undergoing surgery on both cruciate ligaments last year. Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to both lads, and we hope for the best possible news when their injuries are fully assessed. 🤞🏻

A special mention goes to our new signings, Matthew Fullalove, Jamie Fullalove, Louy Kenny, and George Cardwell, who all settled in brilliantly and produced excellent performances. It's exciting to see the quality they've already added to the squad, with several more new faces still waiting to make their debut in the coming weeks. Also welcome back to the club Ben Colvin, Tom Hands and Jack Barker.

We played some really good football in the first half and if we had kept that level for the full 90 minutes, it could easily have been 20. We went into the break 7–0 up, comfortable and in control. The second half was a bit more relaxed and we took our foot off the gas at times, moving away from the football we were playing earlier.
