We regret to announce that Comic FC will now cease to exist under its current guise
It's been a wonderful year. From our very first game against Aye Up FC to our incredible winning streak at the start of this year, it's been an absolute pleasure
Massive thankyou to all the teams that have played us, and a huge thankyou to our wonderful players, management team and committee for their incredible hard work. Thankyou to the refs that stepped in to ref our games (especially at an hours notice). Thankyou to our media team including photographers. And a thankyou to the few that followed us and interacted with us on here, it never went unnoticed
The lads may be back under a different name at some point, but for now this is it.
Thankyou so much everyone from the bottom of our hearts
Big love from us, and remember it's ok to talk.

Sunday saw us fall to our first defeat of the year against a resilient Rose Athletic side.
We took the lead in a cagey first half, when Harry Simons corner found the head of Simon Gerrard who made it 1-0. Rose Athletic equalised after catching the lads by surprise with a short corner, curling a shot home from the edge of the box into the bottom corner. Harry Simons then capitalised on a mistake from the Rose Athletic goalkeeper to to make it 2-1 with an audacious overhead kick
The second half started as tense as the first before Rose Athletic fired in a fine equaliser to make it 2-2 before scoring again to make it 3-2. Despite our lads best efforts, we was unable to find an equaliser.
Thanks to Rose Athletic for playing us and well done on the victory
Comic FC man of the match as chosen by the management team was Adam Hanson who put in a superb showing at centre back

FIVE STAR COMIC AT IT AGAIN:
Another incredible win for our lads as we hit 5 past Craven For Change in an entertaining affair
We found ourselves 1-0 down as Craven for Change raced into an early lead, however goals for Jordan Waddingham and Tommy Watson meant we found ourselves 2-1 up at the break
We extended our lead early in the second half as James Cox added a third before Craven For Change pulled 2 goals to make it 3-3 (I've been asked not to describe the third goal by a certain goalkeeper 🙄). However, we showed our fighting spirit and togetherness as we pulled back 2 more goals to run out 5-3 victors, with both goals from Tommy Watson to complete his hat trick
Our 100% record in 2025 remains in tact as we head into April, and it's now five wins in a row! 👀👀
Man of the match today is Tommy Watson
Thankyou to Craven for Change FC for playing us and together raising money for a great cause
