A special weekend for Low Moor CC with plenty to celebrate both on and off the scorecard.

๐Ÿ‘ Congratulations to ๐‰๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐š๐๐›๐ž๐ง๐ญ and ๐‚๐ซ๐š๐ข๐  ๐’๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ก, who both passed 1,000 runs for Low Moor CC. A fantastic achievement and a testament to their commitment and contribution to the club over the years.

๐ŸŒŸ The future is bright too.

In what was potentially the youngest opening partnership in Low Moor senior cricket history, two 15-year-olds took to the crease together for the 2nd XI against Southowram CC and put on an outstanding 83-run opening stand.

๐Ÿ Ben Thompson continued his excellent form with 37, while ๐๐จ๐š๐ก ๐“๐š๐ฅ๐›๐จ๐ญ reached a major milestone, scoring his maiden 2nd XI half-century as Low Moor secured an impressive victory.

Congratulations to all involved on a memorable weekend for the club! ๐Ÿ’š

**Weekend Round-Up ๐Ÿ**

Despite the weather doing its best to intervene, all four fixtures got completed this weekend, with the club coming away with **2 wins from 4**. A strong set of performances across the board, and on another day we could easily have been celebrating a clean sweep of four victories.

๐Ÿ‘ **Standout performances with the bat:**
๐Ÿ Ryan Williamson โ€“ **81*** (1st XI)
๐Ÿ Ben Thompson โ€“ **52*** (Sunday XI)

๐ŸŽฏ **Leading the way with the ball:**
โšก Liam Price โ€“ **3-14** (2nd XI)
โšก Noah Talbot โ€“ **3-36** (2nd XI)
โšก Harrison Whittaker โ€“ **3-41** (2nd XI)
โšก Imogen Wells โ€“ **3-13** (Sunday 2nd XI)

A huge effort from everyone involved and plenty of positives to take into the next round of fixtures. ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ Milestone Achievement! ๐Ÿ

Congratulations to Caya Fairbrass on becoming the first player from our girlsโ€™ team to score 500 runs for Low Moor CC โ€” a fantastic achievement and a testament to her talent, dedication, and hard work.

What makes this milestone even more remarkable is that Caya is only 13 years old. Despite her young age, she has already accumulated over 1,000 runs across all cricket, including outstanding performances for Low Moor CC, Yorkshire West, North Halifax CC, and most recently Leicestershire CCC.

Cayaโ€™s achievement reflects not only her batting ability but also her commitment to developing her game at every opportunity. We are incredibly proud to see her making history at Low Moor and look forward to watching her continue to grow and reach even greater heights.

๐Ÿ‘ Well done, Caya โ€” the first of many milestones, weโ€™re sure!

A couple of big milestones reached this weekend ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ Tony Dowling passed 2,000 runs for the club โ€“ a fantastic achievement and a testament to years of consistency and commitment.

๐Ÿ Harrison Whittaker brought up 500 runs during his time at the club. And, in true Harrison fashion, he made sure to provide his own action photo for the occasion ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ“ธ

Congratulations to both on their achievements โ€“ hereโ€™s to many more runs to come! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Two midweek games for our Ladies team this week. Hoping to build some momentum after their first win of the season this morning!

Well done to two of our current juniors Ben Thompson and Noah Talbot alongside one of our former juniors Sam Swithenbank. Good luck in the semi final today!

Good luck to our Halifax Junior League U15s Representative Team who have reached the semi-finals of the Yorkshire Junior Cricket Festival today (Friday) where they will take on York.

๐Ÿ They beat Nidderdale by 20 runs in the first match with Sam Swithenbank making 28 and Rehan Muhammed making 24 with Ewan Edwards taking 5-30 and Sam Swithenbank 4-4.

๐Ÿ In the second match, they beat Aire Wharfe by 50 runs with Aayan Khan making 66 and Ben Thompson 50 while Thomas Crowther took 1-4 and Aayan Khan took 3-18.

๐Ÿ In the third, that secured the semi-final spot, they beat Sheffield by 9 wickets with Ben Thompson unbeaten on 39, Ted Sullivan also making 39, Noah Talbot taking 5-11 and Aayan Khan taking 2-16.

Congratulations all our young cricketers representing their clubs so well so far, and good luck for the semi ๐Ÿ’ช

Friday saw our U15s Girls take on Pudsey St Lawrence Cricket Club U15s Girls in a game of the two undefeated league sides. The game was amazing, and it was lovely to see so much support for the Girls.

We had a โ€œPizza and Chipsโ€ party afterwards to recognise the incredible friendships that exist between the two clubs.

Weโ€™re so pleased that we can enjoy such positive relationships with a custodian of cricket in Bradford/Leeds such as PSLCC. The camaraderie between the two teams is extremely special.

Hereโ€™s to many more competitive games and continued friendships.

A full weekend of senior hardball cricket completed ๐Ÿ

The results may not have gone our way across the 4 senior sides, but there were plenty of positives to take from the weekend โ€” especially the opportunities given to our juniors throughout all teams.

Itโ€™s great to see so many young players stepping into important roles and gaining valuable experience in senior cricket. That progression is a huge positive for the club and shows the Saturday sides are building towards a strong future over the next few years ๐Ÿ’ช

Plenty to keep working on, and plenty to be excited about. ๐Ÿ‘
