Thanks to for these beautiful wooden medals.

During the cold snap a few weeks ago Sami was unable to laser cut the event medals in time for our event (due to the garage where the laser lives being far too cold which affects the lasers ability to laser stuff (Sami might be more knowledgable regarding this!) Anyway, it meant that we wouldn’t have medals to hand our runners after finishing on race day.

We had to pivot, we could simply post the medals after the race, but it seemed like a bummer, so we decided to go the extra mile and engrave each individuals finishing time on the medal so that each finisher had an even more special memento of the day: a personalised medal with their name and race time!

What do you think? Is this something you would like to see in more Great Owl Events?
